A new Elder Scrolls Online trailer just came up https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHj5VvFWbtE. At the end you'll notice it's now listed for PS4 and XOne as well. I bethca Zenimax brought these guys on for console ports. Makes sense seeing as the game is now set for a whole other year down the line.

Why would the development of TESO have an impact on Bethesda Game Studios let alone the development of DLCS and patches for Skyrim?

I doubt it. The team that works on the regular Elder Scrolls series is in a completely separate studio from the guys working on Elder Scrolls Online.

Skyrim got cut cuz it came out a year and a half ago, and the time has come for them to work on new projects. I would guess the next project being Fallout 4.

And, it was already gargantuan in size, especially with the three DLC's.

I'd say so too. The link from Bethblog shows Wolfenstein, The New Order is being developed by Machine Games which leaves Beth to work on something entirely separate. Since the next ES is years away FO 4 would seem to be logical.

The development of Elder Scrolls Online had no impact on Skyrim at all, the two games were and are developed by two completely different companies (Bethesda Game Studios & Zenimax Online Studios).
