So I put about 60 hrs into my fallout new vegas save, just reached old world blues and logged off playing for the night.
Before i closed my pc down i right clicked on F:NV in steam and created desktop shortcut, tried to drag it onto my taskbar but that wouldnt work, so i ran new vegas and pinned the programme to my taskbar, then closed it down.

Woke up in the morning and went to load my save - wouldnt work. I had the usual problem whenever there is an issue from modding for example - the game continues to load without crashing, it just never finishes loading.
I assume its because i tried to load it through a shortcut or different location its altered a file type which prevents me from loading it.

Help? id prefer not to have to start my save file again from scratch.
