Hitman v127
A random hit generator for New Vegas!

After a long hiatus, I've returned to work on this mod every Friday.

The Job
Hitman adds an infinitely replayable, and (hopefully) rewarding job. It randomly generates and tells you the general location of a Target, which you're then tasked to locate and eliminate. From the weakest weakling of weakville to the most badass guy or gal in the Wastes, you'll have to tread carefully every hit. Use some of your in-game skills to steathfully deal with the Target, or go all out shoot 'em in the face.

The Rewards
Some lovely modders have given me permission to include their custom weapons in the Hitman mod, which are given as rewards after certain milestones. Along with the awesome new gear, you'll find yourself neck-deep in caps, ammunition and fancy shmancy suits thanks to the generosity of the organization.

Maybe for the character bios you could have the note (the bios) also have some kind of randomized feature that has some of the words in the sentence be randomized. I don't even know if it's possible what I'm saying but what I'm saying like the following example:

"[Random bandit name] is wanted for the crime of killing [random number]. Used to operate around [random NCR town] but moved to the frontiers for easier pickings. etc..."

And in place for the [Random bandit name] and the [random number] the message would fill that space with a random parameter from a big pool of possibilities. Don't know if it's possible but I thought I would suggest it anyway.

Anyways here's my bio. Hope it helps even if you have to change it up or whatever.

"Jane, AKA 'Cheshire'. Her gang has been responsible for disrupting trade lines with the Crimson Caravan and businesses in the Mojave causing innumerable amounts of damage and property loss. Survivor accounts say that she is part of the Vipers gang but those reports have been inconclusive.

Wanted - Dead

Once the target has been dealt with bring sufficient proof. A severed finger with the prints in tack will suffice to match with NCR criminal databases."

Also - and I don't know if you're already doing this I haven't played the mod yet - with all the notes that might be handed out after repeating the quest I suggest using the RemoveNote command everytime the quest is completed. But if you're already using it totally disregard this. Can't wait to play!

Not sure why I haven't checked this thread haha. Thanks for the suggestions, Poly. I used something like what you suggested a while back, but it made target's pretty difficult to differentiate among just random NPCs. Even more unfortunate is that messages can only take numbers as arguments, so putting the name of the target wasn't possible without having to manually create each note with the target's name and do an absolutely massive search - undoubtedly breaking the 500 lines of code ceiling that the main script is constantly at odds with anyway.

I'll be reserving bios for specific mini-quests, which you'll come upon when reaching certain ranks. Jane will be the first, but since this is more of an organized crime kind of deal, it'll probably be something like "Jane, AKA 'Cheshire.' Her gang has agitated the Crimson Caravan and they wish for you to dispose of her. She's associated with the Vipers gang, according to our intel, so be careful. A special reward will be waiting for you when you've taken care of her."

What do you think? :)

Just released the new update. If you haven't given Hitman a try, now's a better time than ever! Just threw in quest markers to make picking up and playing this mod as simple as can be! :D
