When using the 4GB memory patch for New Vegas, the game receives a noticeable performance and stability boost. However, one side effect running this program that it does not log my steam hours. Whenever I run the 4gb patch, steam still runs in the background, but does not detect the game as New vegas and in turn does not record screenshots or time logged.

Is there a work around for this to tell steam that the 4GB exe is the fallout one?
