Editing Launch Settings Manually?

Post » Thu Jun 13, 2013 5:21 pm

Hi there, I figured since I've got a day off today I'd relaunch skyrim but modded up to the eyeballs since I ain't played since launch. Now I've got a very slow PC and I spend all night downloading Skyrim, but when I was about to play today I noticed there was some "DLC" I high texture pack. I figured why not, I'll play while i download it. Of course now Skyrim has started "updating" and I can't launch the game till it's done. (about 12 hours)

I can however launch the game through SKSE, but the game runs windowed. I'm pretty sure this is because I haven't set the appropriate launch options by running the game through Steam first. Is there a way to manually edit an .ini file or something to change the launch settings?

I could wait of course, but this is my day off and I really wanted to dig into Skyrim today, can anyone help?

Thanks.

I thought you said you had a slow PC?

Why then have you downloaded the high texture pack(s)?

Just launch using the main launcher once, to detect and set up the graphics etc.

Exit and run BOSS on your load order.

Then use SKSE launcher going forward...

(if it plays )

Sorry, I meant slow internet rather than slow PC, hence the download of mega textures is gonna take about a day. I got a workaround now, though now everything I pick up dissapears.
