If you use a magic skill it should be restoration.

I have a rather fun bosmer I play. she uses archery, light armor, smithing, and alchemy. That's pretty much it. You wear armor that is best fitting the character (fur, scale, hide) or personally I use armors from the immersive armors mod http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/19733//?

I like the warchief and vagabond armors for her.

a few good potions and poisons to make

restore+fortify health:

Wheat+ blue mountain flower

Slow+damage health+weakness to poison

River betty+deathbell+an ingredient with weakness to poison effect (abenacean longfin or bleeding crown for ex.)

Lingering damage health+paralysis

Imp stool+mora topinella+canis root

for the last one imp stool plus just about any 1 ingredient with lingering health damage and any 1 ingredient with paralysis (except for swamp fungal pod) will do. Swamp fungal pods share restore health with imp stool which would make your poison heal the enemy.

Regenerate health+fortify archery

Juniper berries+1 fortify archery ingredient+1regenerate health ingredient

Fortify archery potions can be handy for fighting enemies immune to poison so you can still have a way to increase your damage.

Also, if you take alchemy's snakeblood perk you gain poison immunity.

Slap the atronach stone on her for extra magic protection, as well as defense against falmer and chaurus poison (has a magic component) and diseases (they count as a spell.) She won't need to worry about magicka regen anyway.
