I have been playing Skyrim for a long time now, but I have been lucky to have avoided most of the glitches and bugs so far. But all good things must end and I have now encountered a bug/glitch that takes all of the fun out of the game for me. In every treasure chest, in every draugr, foresworn, bandit or falmer i loot, I find flawless and regular saphires, diamonds, garnets, amethysts and rubies. All the gems you could imagine are in every single chest i find and i'm loosing motivation every time i find one. I'm not even bothering to loot corpses anymore and i don't look for chests. Has anyone else encountered this? You may think I'm creating a problem out of something good, but this is actually ruining my gaming experience. I would be very grateful for any help.

I presume you play on PS3, because there is a mod like this for PC users...anyway.

All the useful stuff that one would normally find in chests has been replaced with gems that are too expensive to sell, and money that you already have too much. <

Thanks for responding. i found the thread you referred to and i think this must be related to the stones of barenziath-quest. i didn't think about it when i started finding all these jewels, but it started right after i finished that quest. such a stupid way to reward me... thanks for helping me clear that up!

btw i had this quest on a earlier walk-trough but i had no such problems, maybe you are a bit unlucky perhaps...

I find this side quest time consuming and very frustrating anyway...

That's the Prowlers Profit ability from finding the stones and crown.
