ah yes i believe in the original game there was a limited amount of those parchment-like maps and the rest were issued as plastic editions (or maybe it was the other way around) not sure if thats the case with the legendary edition as well, but most likely those are all plastic

HM? In my original Skyrim standard package, the map was like ... paper. Not even parchment, just plain old paper, like the instruction manual was made of.

The first few shipments of Skyrim had the map printed on burlap paper (paper with a rough, cloth-like texture). Later editions are basic glossy print paper.
