Bound weapons and stealth build

Post » Wed Jun 19, 2013 1:44 am

How would conjure sword and bow be in a stealth build? I don't want to use smithing or enchanting. Like how well would I do in melee combat against dragons?

I guess you'll be good early game. Once you hit late game though, good luck...

I think that to fully utilize Alchemy, you'd also need to take Enchanting. They work great together. Using this'd enchantments, you could probably survive for a pretty good time. Possibly even late game.

Hmmm. Different question but somewhat related. Would a sneak assassin utilize smithing? Just for weapons such as bows, daggers, and swords? Also, how would alteration fit into a sneaky assassin build?

Of course, assassins need the best tools. You'll be making far better weaponry if you take Smithing. You can make amazing daggers and bows (Dragonbone is my favorite)

I don't think assassins would use Alteration. I guess if an enemy spotted you, you would cast a flesh spell to raise your defenses.

I'm playing a similar build on Legendary without a problem. Currently wearing Ancient Shrouded Armor, so that's a 35% Archery boost I think. Backstabs with Bound Daggers. Stand up fights with dual Bound Swords. It's all good. You just need Quiet Casting perk from the Illusion tree.

Alchemy is adviced for any stealth build.

Yup. With dual Bound Swords. Things are usually dead before it comes down to a melee fight though.

I could see a Nightblade using the Detect spells. Or Aura Whisper.

Your only problem is the fact that conjuring them is noisy thus making sneaking more difficult.

But, as has been said you can use Quiet casting (Illusion perk) to overcome this.
