Hasn't happened to me yet. Worse case, just take him out. Of course I say that cause all my characters are evil.

Maybe try reloading an earlier save?

I wouldnt be bothered by it. gaints and bandits can get annoying. he can help kill them off.

Yeah but the only major problem I can forsee is if he wants to use a different follower. Then he's stuck with the current one.

Worse case, just kill him.

Unfortunately you can only have one follower at a time.

Have you tried recruiting any other followers OP? If it's just a case of dawdling about your property he may end up wandering off before you return home the next time if he's truly dismissed. I have heard of this happening,

I think these guys need up to 73 game hours before they start walking back home. I have seen followers stay put when dismissed. This is why I typically take them to their home before I dismiss them.

Tredylin savos is generally a buggy follower when it comes to dismissing him, when I replaced him with Frea at the skall village he wasn't back at the retching netch and I still havn't seen him since, a lot of people say you have to wait 2 in game months before he returns there. It's so annoying.

I can still recruit other followers. He just stands next to the carriage driver, telling me how much he loves me everytime I walk past.
