So I go into my local gamexchange and I hear a customer and an employee discussing the PS4 vs the Xbox One. Now I'm not a fanboy but it's also no secret that I've been sipping on the Xbox koolaid just a bit for right now. I introduced myself into the outrageously misinformed conversation and asked if either of them had heard the recent new from Microsoft which stated that there would be no DRM, no region locks, you could play and sell used games all day long, and you no longer had to put up with the 24 hour check in.. The obviously PS4 biased employee laughed me off and said too little too late. The customer on the other hand seemed to find a new interest in the Xbox One after I had made that statement.

I move on and go to make my purchase. By this time the employee had pulled the lost sheep over to the corner of the counter saying " let me tell you what you really get with the Xbox One." I listened in while the employee filled the customer's head with absolute half truths and out right lies. He kept telling the guy that the Xbox One was gonna spy on you because you had to always have it on and that if the kinect sees you handing the controller over to a friend it'll lock the game. I asked the kid where he got all this info from and he said he had "sources".

Look, if you are pro Sony and you think the Xbox is gonna be a big fat bust then fine. But fanboys like this are absolutely absurd. I wanna see all three major companies do well and thrive. If any one company fails it just spells doom for us the consumer. Why go out and spread lies and detour people from making a purchase just because you aren't huddling around a fire in that camp? I will never understand fanboys I guess. None of which that kid said is true and if you don't believe me then just use Google. Now I will admit, Microsoft did file a patent a year ao for the movie viewer license policy but it was filed for the 360, not the Xbox One. I mean c'mon people lets grow up.
