After playing this game for almost four years, I noticed for the first time last night that there are dogwoods growing in Cyrodiil, along the road to Leyawiin.

I selfishly wish they would have used the Pacific Dogwood that is native to the Pacific Northwest as their model, since I have loved that species with its five (or more) petaled flowers since I was a child. Their white deciduous flowers in springtime provide a wonderful change of pace in the predominately evergreen forests dominated by doug fir. Somehow, Pacific Dogwood always seemed somewhat magical to me, whenever I came across one while out hiking in the woods.

Still, the four petaled variety in Cyrodiil are quite beautiful, and since the four petaled variety is more common in the eastern part of the United States where Bethesda is located, I cannot really fault them for placing four petaled dogwoods in Cyrodiil. I was just amazed to see dogwood at all. Brought back childhood memories.

I have noticed Rhododendrons in Cyrodiil before -- they are fairly ubiquitous -- but I can't believe I never noticed the dogwood. I spent quite a while just admiring a couple of trees along the roadside.

Anyone else notice unique or interesting plants in Cyrodiil?

Nice. I have actually been surprised how common hydrangeas are in Cyrodiil. I was also surprised the first time when I went to Paradise and found Mana Bloom all over the place that was pretty obviously just neon-colored torch ginger.

They have a strange variety of tomato, though. They look like nice yellow heirlooms on the vine but as soon as you pick them they turn red.
