Most essential NPC's can be turned to an ash pile with "reanimate corpse". It might only be temporary; I can't remember, but try that.
Edit: Oh! Almost didn't show you this. You must cast the spell with both hands and not dual cast, and make sure to hit them below and to the left of their neck.
You mean Farkas #8? Yeah, no one likes him. Just kill him. The TG will forgive you since there are no consequences in the game.
Well, I have no idea if he is even possible to kill, due to some characters being too important to kill. But, if you feel like trying, I suppose try shooting him with arrows and kill him as fast at possible without the guild noticing. But don't blame me if the thieves hate you after you kill him.
He's not essential, is he? If that's the case (and you really want to do it), then I suppose you'd just have to be creative. Try hurting him, luring him into the Ratway, then Fus'ing him into the main chamber. That's what I'd do.
Take all of this cloths and poison him by dropping a lot of poisons in his inventory.
He isn't essential, but you do not want to kill him if you haven't already gone through the main quest and plan on doing so.
He's not exactly crucial to it, but for some reason he breaks the quest "A Cornered Rat" if he's dead. It'll be okay to kill him once you complete it, though.
Of course, you'll be kicked out of the guild if you do so. I think.
That's pretty much how all crime works in Skyrim, ha. You should be fine OP if you do so away from any prying eyes.
That's pretty much how all crime works in real life too
So very true.
Edit: Oh wow, looky there! 1000 posts for me; time to change my avatar.
I always kill the mouthy git.
Just crouch by the entrance to the Ragged Flagon, pop him with an arrow and withdraw before the rest arrive!
Farkas #8, lol! I call them Gary's as I got them all the time in Fallout 3 and NV.
I deliberately killed Brelyna, once, as I didn't want her as a Steward anymore. There was no one anywhere to witness her murder, yet I still got suspended from the College
Though I vaguely remember reading that deer, foxes, even chickens count as witnesses so it must've been one of them
