been meaning to do this intro thread for about a year now, so ...
I am not what you'd call an "average gamer", by any means;
I'm a 66 year-old former Union Lineman (hung high-voltage wires
& worked nuclear-power plants &etc) .... broke my back & semi-retired
five years ago .... during my recovery, my youngest son set me up a bad
a$$ed computer system ... loaded-up the original "Call of Duty", which he
thought I be interested in ... and I was, it was cool enough ... but I really
got hooked on "Postal 2", the first-person exploring & open-endedness
of it ....
farted around a couple of years, tried some other games, then found
New Vegas in the Walmart Bargin Bin ... seriously hooked ever since ...
for one, I lived in Henderson, NV in the 80s & worked Boulder Dam; spent
alot of time in desert around there, and the compressed geography of FO:NV
was dang impressive .... the Dam, too ...
anyway, I've lurked this forum some & played with alot of the mods from the
Nexus ... as I said, I'd been meaning to start a thread here for myself, to elicit
occasional help from you kids ... sometimes I gots questions that I'm sure there
are answers to here in the forum ... but I get tired, &etc.
my "home forum" is the Dune forum for Orthodox Herbertarians, Jacurutu.com ;
anyone so interested will find a ton of obscene & insane ranting posts from me.
