Slow mouse pointer ONLY in certain places now...

Alright this is starting to drive me bonkers.

I've already researched and found and used the .ini tweaks. Problem is, it's still there. It's getting to the point where I'm thinking of digging up an old 360 controller just to play this game.

But anyways, the problem:

After turning off mouse acceleration and VSync(Whyyyyyy this isn't available by default I'll never know.. stupid consoles) I fixed the slow mouse pointer issues.... in the game option menus. Save, load, settings, etc. All that bad stuff, no lag period.

Out in the world, mouse look speed? Great. Absolutely perfect.

Open up navigation(hit Tab)... lag. Lots of it. I move the mouse to one of the four points, and it takes its sweet time getting there. Inside inventory and spell menus, the mouse doesn't keep up with the speed I'm moving the mouse at. This also applies to speaking to NPCs and selecting dialog options, vendor/personal inventory pages, magic spell page.

It's driving. Me. Bonkers.

Not to mention that lovely bit where it'll close out of the menu you were just in when trying to browse a vendor's wares because you clicked the wrong spot on the menu item.

Gah.

Halp?

What kind of mouse do you have?

Also, you could try messing with the mouse settings in Windows, just search for "mouse" :D

Alright, update: bit closer. Not quite yet.

I figured out how to change the cursor speed but it doesn't change the fact that the mouse feels.. light. Like when I whip the mouse pointer across the screen, it should stop on a dime where I put it. It feels like it'd overshoot the target, like there's some momentum behind it.

it should feel like I'm snapping a ruler back and forth, but instead it feels like I have a weight on a string.

It's just a standard three button mouse. I don't use "gaming mice". Ergoguys Comfi. And no, it didn't come with drivers.

Windows settings do nothing. This is apparently a known problem with the game since it was designed for Xbox and ported to PC instead of the other way around which would have prevented this.

Why can't the mouse pointer just stop on a dime like it does in every other game and even Windows itself? /sigh :(
