Personally I choose to eradicate every pest I see realistically though the game won't allow that so I tend to switch who I side with but if I could have it my way I'd end the war by stringing up tullius, ulfric and a few other key members of both parties including elewen.
An if that didn't bring the jarls to the table I'd just wipe them all out an start with a clean slate well relatively clean.
With no due respect, I truly do just play the game. Finish all quests and be as powerful as I can be. Which is why I enjoy Bethesda, play it any way you want eh.

With every character, and in every Elder Scrolls game (Arena through Skyrim) I use Restoration. It doesn't matter if I'm a mage or a thief or a warrior, I'm using Restoration to heal myself.

Well, all my chars get married, and can never decide what weapons to stick with
