From what I have seen in the amaranth threads, the basic idea is that the ES setting is likened to a "dream" from a entity called "Godhead", perhaps in a state of sensory deprivation, what certainly would estimulate its "fantasy".
Combining that with the Kalpa concept, anyone has ever thought that previous Kalpas are actually former "dreams" of the Godhead, and that the Dawn Era is actually the equivalent of an (possibly brief) awakened state, which "ends"/"disturbs" the "dream", but is soon followed by a new unconscious period, in which a new dream develops? Repeating patterns would be natural, because it possibly represents the Godhead "mind" trying to deal with its present state and/or using the same memories/experiences as a basis for its dreams. After all, sensory deprivation isn't known for the richness of new stimulus it provides.
Of course, all this is especulated based on the idea that the Godhead follows human psychic patterns.
Your thoughts, please?
Edit: Alduin represents the alarm clock, perhaps?
