Thinking of starting in legendary mode, any tips?

Hi, I am thinking of starting over and starting in legendary mode, but am scared of getting blown apart every time I get near an enemy, so here's my dream character :) well, I have lots of them, but here's my current pursuit, I am thinking of building an alchemist character, one that can sell to any merchant, what is the best way in order to avoid conflict in the game? Starting out, I would not bring the nirnroots or jazbay graqes to the Saretti Farm, because I think the Saretti's are a bunch of Dunmer brats, secondly, I have a feeling I would go to the alchemist's shack to make potions and such, it is a good area, seems to be pretty peaceful, and for me, the dresser in the shack will hold all the materials, and seems to stay there and not reset, I would like to consider growing nirnroots, the crimson nirnroots (to be in competition with the Saretti's!) Honestly, the perk given, Sinderion's Serendipity gets outweighed by the green thumb perk in alchemy, the serendipity perk only gives you a chance of making a duplicate potion, whereas the green thumb perk is a for sure thing, where you get 2 ingredients while harvesting the plants, the voice of sky perk seems to work pretty well, to keep most of the animals calm throughout game play, how I do it also, is going into specific areas, such as in between Rorickstead and Whiterun, then near Darkwater Crossing, then in the marsh areas, that has served me well in game play, so maybe I am answering my own question here, but maybe building up on illusion would calm them down enough for me to get away quick enough without killing them, alchemists are usually not known for fighting, so any ideas on how not to fight in the game? I know that sounds stupid, but I would like to have a peaceful game play in Skyrim

Sounds like you got the gist of it. however if you are not literally aware of how much you will be blown apart.. keep in mind y ou will. just rejoined skytrim and noticed the difficulty boost. giving it a go with a hybrid light armor warrior and limited destruction / restoration character...

without stacking my combat lines... which i do for game play challenge.. I am getting pretty torn up and have to run my self few and far between any reasonable encounter.

formulate a potion line for safety... keep your designated areas.. higher a companion once you develop your craft... although, they might get too free headed and lead you into danger. not to familliar with companions in the game really.

if you are into mods theres economic of skyrim --- allows you to purchase enchant / smithing services from specific people. ( i think thats the mod to cause it )

can earn yourself any nice little tool that way as well.

Dude you can't start from the beginning on Legendary!
I start from the beginning on Master and I don't recommend it.

Actually you need a great computer with a solid hard disk array to survive...
All the dying and reloading  it's easy to encounter savegame corruption.

Giant spiders @ level 10 with an unenchanted dwarven sword?
Good luck with that on Legendary - it'll take like a week to kill one.

No, Skyrim is all about the fighting... you have to fight! Kill.
Slay everything.
Including old women on the floor, screaming "I yield!"

I started a character like that, hide in Whiterun and role-play as an alchemist. Making septims and improving myself before venturing out into the wilds.... until I met a Sabre Lion when I was collecting mountain flowers.... in Legendary mode, they will tear you apart with a single blow even if you are blocking >.<"

It is a painful experience and it makes no sense because what I am essentially doing it leveling up my character with alchemy, smithing, enchanting and visiting trainers with the money I made and cant venture until I am strong enough. :yuck:

Once you have all the essential skills however... Legendary is no different than other difficulty level because you cut everything down like tissue paper.

tip: If you wear 4 piece of equipment that reduce certain magic casting cost by 100% (combined), weapon effects no longer uses any charge. Now think - perma paralyze effect weapon
