Editing a vanilla NPC, weight slider issue

Post » Wed Jun 26, 2013 11:45 am

Im tweaking some of the vanilla NPC's, everything updates fine ingame except the weight changes. They all remain at their vanilla weight stats. I've tried making it a ESM and yeah, i've exported everything with Ctrl-F4.

No searching in this forum has produced anything that works for me. Is there some kinda special trick to this? Or can't it be done?

Edit: The weight changes show up fine in the preview window by the way.

Have you tried testing from a new game?

Hmm, no. I'll check that out tomorrow. Surely a clean save should be enough tho?

There is no such thing as a "clean save" anymore. That is a habit from previous games that has no bearing on Skyrim's engine.

Loads of different types of data seems to get "baked" into the save itself. Because the save is always the last "plugin" in the load order, any "baked data" overwrites any other mods changes to the same thing.

Until the time comes where the community decodes the save file, we won't have an idea how far the rabbit hole actually goes

How did you change the weight of an NPC via CK?

I'm still trying to figure out how to do that.
