Skyrim v 1.9.32 graphics issues steam

Post » Thu Jun 27, 2013 2:24 am

Hi.

I recently reinstalled skyrim on my computer via steam after about 6 months of break.

Now i have a problem with my graphics and i am unable to play the game because of those problems.

I don't have any mods installed, and i have not changed anything in the files.

The link underneath shows a picture of my problem right after i start a new character and i am sitting in the horse carriage as a prisoner.

This problem also persists even if i load a save game.

i have a

ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics card

Driver version 8.692.1.0

If what i mentioned isn't what you're after then the adapter type is

Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator HD

You don't play your game with your ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics card, therefore the glitch.

But i think you use the Intel HD instead...(that's exact the graphic glitch with an Intel HD video adapter, as i saw on that video !!!!)

Go to your Control panel-> Device Manager-> Display Adapters

If two Display adapters are present, switchable graphics are supported.

If there is only one Display adapter listed, the computer does not support switchable graphics.

(But i don't think this will be the case here...)

"The Radeon chip also comes with manual graphics switching technology."

When you install a game you must go into the "Catalyst Control Center" by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting "Configure Switchable Graphics."

While in the control center you can select from a list of programs for which you want the graphics card on (as opposed to the integrated graphics chipset)"

So, switching from Power Saving to High Performance you actually with play your game with your Ati instead with your Intel HD

graphics card.

...and tell my if you have problems with that. !!!!!

i thank you for you're willingness to help echonite, however i have managed to solve the problem, apparently skyrim doesn't like to run on low graphics settings on my computer for wahtever reason that may be. When ever i set the graphics from medium to low the problem arises, so i guess ill just have to run the game with a bit less FPS.

thanks, i think ille try doing that and see if that helps, either that, or the fact that i had to restart my computer for some updates to take effect solved my problem. But none the less a nice comprehensive troubleshooting guide mark :)

yea, well i have only had 3 computers over the past 12 years that i have had them and this one is my first ATI.

And thanks i will, i enjoy skyrim, especially once i get some of the different compat mods to make the combat system a bit more streamlined.
