EDIT:
Treat this as a sign up and I'll post the story later. My character will be last and to give you a guideline on what it's about -

You've lived in a simulation all you're life, hooked up as a baby (still working on what type of simulation), live in a civilization but one day you get "unplugged" by some group (still working on it) and have to survive in the surroundings (also working on) any ideas to fill in the gaps are also welcome, but not a vault too many rp's about vaults have been made.

Character template: include a brief simulation skills and purposes and a more detailed "end result" this story fills inthe gaps between them (maybe even explaining some characters you used in other stories)

I haven't actually ever taken part in a Fallout RP, but I've been active over TES and I know from experience that this won't work. Free-form RPs simply don't.

You've given the RPers no story so they've got no ambition to do anything, you can't expect them to make it themselves, can you? Think out a RP with a solid story, and them come back. :)

Ok I've tried free roams in other forums and they worked fine but I don't have much experience in fallout rp I guess I'll think up a story and get it started tomorrow when I don't have sandbags under my eyes

Chriso is right, free form Rps do not work on here or TES. People have tried MANY times, and failed MANY MANY more times. It is best to come up with a solid story or plot if you prefer, and something that can get the players interested in the Rp. BUT! I suggest that before making the first idea that pops into your head, that you play around with other ideas. Don't ever jump on the first idea that comes to you, it is usually the worst you have. Not always, but in Rp cases, it definitely is.

Been there and heard that, I chose this one because it has the most developement options - basically relearning life in some harsh environment at an advlt age characters will start clueless and almost endless branches can come from that all I need is a good setting so that they can learn without being massacared

Maybe join an Rp before going about and making your own. Get a feel for what the people on here do, and also get some experience. All you'll have to join this, are jokers who join every Rp that pops up because they're so rash. Advice is well to take in this case, so it doesn't turn into spam.

I suppose, I've been too enough forums to know that there's a different 'feel' for each one but I'm still going to keep this going - better to learn early than late

Yes, I recommend you join as many RPs as you can- you'll become better at writing and will get a better understanding of how the forums works. Don't just go off throwing ideas for RPs at us.

That's not entirely true, Chriso. Some free-form RPs have worked once in a blue moon on TES. There was one in particular that lasted for a good while. I think it was Trapped in the Imperial City, though I'm not sure if that could be called pure free-form. Seemed close enough to me though.

Though that had a lot of the really old, veteran players in it that knew how to keep it from falling apart. I think it was about two years ago, actually. Somehow I don't think the same thing could work here.

Yeah but you kind of exaplained why that worked; it had veteran players and wasn't completely free-form. And that is like once out of 100 tries. Also, this doesn't really give you anything to start with in the first place.

Quite. Free-form RPs take a lot of patience and dedication to get rolling, because of how the character interaction goes, and unless you have creative writers willing to make their own content instead of waiting for stuff from the host, it's doomed to fail. They don't get off the ground very often at all. Especially not recently.
