Sera

Post » Sun Jun 30, 2013 7:16 am

I was wondering something after all this time of playing Skyrim: both Kahjiit and dumner seem to often call my character Sera, sometimes with a capital and sometimes not. Because it is sometimes with a capital S I started to wonder if this is the Dragonborn's secret name.

The name of the original dragonborn as in the trailer.

Yeah, unless his true name is simply Prisonor, but I highly doubt that.

Would be a nice idea for a new character though, Sera that is.

No, it's a respectful title like sir.

The Khajiit? Dunmer can call you Muthsera, or Sera but I'd never noticed that the Khajiit did. Here is a discussion related to Oblivion but it's still valid: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion_talk:Melisi_Daren#Sera.2FMuthsera

Serjo and Sera are just titles that some people will use, it's not an actual name.

I have never been called this by anyone ever, and I've played both Oblivion and Skyrim a little too much

this is my first time hearing of this actually.

You N'wah!

"Sera" is a fairly informal greeting used by Dunmer. "Muthsera" is (IIRC) more formal, akin to calling someone "Sir".

Now, if you're getting called a S'wit or N'wah, you might want to introduce them to your steel...

Ordun, you play Khajiit, correct? Maybe that's why. I don't imagine Dunmer would be too fond of calling their ex-slaves by those terms.

(YAY I HAVE A STAR!)

I was about to ask if that is related to gender, but if memory saves me well I can recall it isn't.

I'm player a female Breton at the moment and often play only male characters but I thought they were called Sera as well. Or sera, since it isn't a name.
