Are Skyrim Saves Region Locked?

Post » Sun Jun 30, 2013 5:21 pm

Hi there, I have looked pretty extensively but I have not found a 100% definitive answer.

In short, I am wondering if saves for Skyrim are region locked in any way on the PS3, so if I buy an Australian version of the game so I can use the DLC, then can I continue with my saved games which I have from playing my US copy of the game? Or will I have to start all over again?

I bought my copy of Skyrim when I was in America, and I have purchased the Hearthfire DLC but it will not work because it is Australian DLC and it is region locked. I have been told that my "best option" (according to Playstation) is to buy an Australian version of the game. I don't want to lose my saves though...

Please can someone clear this up for me.

Also can I load regular skyrim saves on a copy of Skyrim: Legendary Edition? That would save me buying the DLC separately.

For the DLC's you can see here: http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1445127-skyrim-dlc-on-psn-are-region-and-language-specific/

Yes you can if those saves rely on your personally user account. (DLC's you have downloaded from PSN with your Normal Skyrim game are incompatible !!!! )
