Unfortunately...

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was unavailable to be reached throughout this week for planning for the Newbie Friendly Weekend. As a result, sign-ups for my training session have been - sadly - very low. But I have a solution:

In celebration of the Newbie Friendly Weekend, I have decided to extend this courtesy for an entire week!

Here are the rules, there are only a few:

1) Obtain the Password for "Nosgoth's Playground" from SDub, drfelip or myself by PM'ing here in the forums or you can feel free to friend me on Origin and I can provide it to you that way.

2) All players during this coming week must be wearing the NFW tag while playing on the server. This is a signal to the Admins and other players that you are there to learn and have fun. Non NFW wearing players will be warned, then kicked if they do not comply before the beginning of the following match.

3) This is the most important rule of all: HAVE FUN! No, seriously, go have a good time. I'll be asking more experienced players to join periodically throughout the coming week and share tips and tricks as they go along.

In addition, there's a new channel open in my Clan's mumble server just for NFW players.

Both the game server and the mumble channel will be lightly moderated (enough to protect the players, but not enough to infringe on the fun) so feel free to join both and play exclusively with the friends you made during the NFW.

Now from the egoistic side of life... I think the topics in your session were very interesting and well worth another try. If you think you could do/repeat it TOMORROW SUNDAY, I think we could have enough people, as the activities in the Newbie Training Grounds server are less rigid than today's training sessions and people can come and go at wish. The only issue is that, ideally, it should be a bit earlier than today.

I will, indeed, be on all day Sunday and am willing to host MULTIPLE sessions. Here are the times I'm proposing:

9pm EST (final session)

In sessions where there aren't enough players to review the particular team tactics, I'm prepared to share the following tricks I've picked up on:

Quick-scoping
- DSG-r + Reflex
- Gauss + Reflex
- Gauss + Assault rifle

Accurate Grenade cooking guide

Sliding Melees

Extended Armored Jumps (not a glitch, not a cheat, but an actual play on the physics!)

Quicker reloads


As an addition, SDub has (more or less) volunteered to help out during the coming week to help newer players get their sea-legs.

The one piece of feed back I'd like from the community is: DLC Maps or No DLC Maps on the server? You tell me and I'll make it happen.

If you host as many sessions we can combine them, DLC in some sessions, no DLC in others. I think most people involved in the NFW owns the DLC, but not everybody, and now I'm too sleepy to help you decide.

Hey! Anybody planning to attend the sessions lacks the DLC???

I wish you guys luck. You won't see that much collaboration with the consoles.
