Not really. Its only 40 gold. Although, that 40 gold fine did cost a Whiterun guard his life one time.

I've heard that killing the chickens outside Honeyside can turn Iona against you.

I don't get the humor of people sometimes. Why would you kill a chicken in the first place?

Just for clarification, they are talking about a game. Not randomly killing chickens for lols.

Skryim gives you plenty of opportunity to do random stuff. The vast majority of which you would not do, or ever even consider doing, in real life. Game, remember? :)

KFC anyone? :tops:

I remember playing Fable 3 where I used to walk around and have a blast kicking chickens just to see how far I could kick them.

Maybe I'm weird But I would laugh something silly.

The first time I played a mage I used Flames on a chicken, as well as a skeever, hoping I'd get some cooked chicken legs (and charred skeever hide). Obviously I failed at both, but neither was for nefarious purposes or lols. I did not know how far the game's limitations were. Not that I'm complaining, but I thought it was worth a shot at the time.

Good thing you killed the chicken quietly. He was going to testify against your Bleep!

I remember when I first killed a chicken.

Riverwood

My character decided that no-one would see the town chicken missing. It must have been a mascot or something, because after that all hell broke loose. Alvor drew his warhammer and ran after me, while Faendal decided to shoot arrows at me. I cut down a few of the unarmed ones, but Alvor caught up to me and showed me that you don't mess with the blacksmith.

just felt like pointing out, in the late Middle Ages, slaughtering of another persons livestock was considered a very serious crime (more so then theft)

I accidentally hit a chicken and the guards in Riverwood and the citizens attacked and killed it.

I remember the first time I killed a Riverwood chicken. First playthrough and I was taking everything that wasn't nailed down and on fire (nowadays I leave behind food and alchemy ingredients, sometimes) and I saw a chicken and made the little clucky thing taste cold stee- well Iron at that time. By the time it was done everyone in Riverwood was dead except for Lucan and Delphine and I had no idea why Delphine wouldn't die.

It kind of makes sense really. If you killed someone's livestock in those days, they seriously ran the risk of starving to death. Still doesn't justify a 40 gold fine for a chicken though.

earlier i saved my game and i killed the chicken with my bow near riverwood's north enterance and i had the blacksmith, his wife and the village lumberjack attack me (over one small chicken).

so i reloaded and killed the chicken again and the samething happened (oh well) so i reloaded again and i went to ralof's house and tried to kill his cow (i know i was acting like a jerk) but it took off and got away from me, so i reloaded again and went into ralof's house and cleaned him out then killed his chicken and got that weird message about the last witness being killed.

wow, you really enjoy killing peoples livestock, don't you?

3 chickens and a cow? If you lived in England during the late 1100s (Specifically during the reign of King Richard I and King John) you would be spending up to 8 years in Prison....

Compared to Skyrim which is like... a few days...

Can you imagine if they had made Prison Sentences the same Length as what you would get for committing the same crime in the real life Dark Ages (as I always seem to compare TES to the mid to late dark ages)

You guys will shun me for admitting this, but to this date I have never (not even once) fus-ro-dah'd cattle or chickens off a cliff. Not once. It's a shame. Nor have I ever fusrodah'd lydia

i did say i reloaded as in i saved before i did my misdeeds until i cleaned out ralof's house and killed his chicken (that time i let his cow live) and the other chicken lived as well since i couldn't find it that time.

i wll not shun you, since i fus-ro-dah'd a little girl with my previous skyrim character after i killed riverwood's blacksmith and later in the game i returned to riverwood to improve one of my weapons or armor and she said to me "i will hate you forever and ever " so i fu-ro-dah'd her.
