Skyrim while falling asleep

Post » Tue Jul 02, 2013 8:34 pm

Hi,

I usually play late at night, and after an intense session of play, when I'm in the bed, I gently fall asleep thinking of Skyrim. The game atmosphere still resounds and the dovahkin tune accompanies me into the realm of dreams with a grin on my face.

It's only me or do you experience the same?

Hope my spouse will not know that I fall asleep thinking of an RPG game... :-D

I have fallen asleep thinking of Bethesda games a few times over the years, yep. I've also had dreams about them while I was asleep too. :)

Your brain is more likely to dream about the last thing it thought of or exposed to while awake. I've had dreams about different games, not just limited to bethesda's.

I allow the music put me to sleep. One of the best game music out there, though wish the DLC:DB had Nerevar's Rising as it is still my most fav amonst III and V.

True sons of Skyrim dream about Skyrim when sleeping.
I always think about it.
I was thinking about Bleak falls barrow the other day. I know where all enemies are in there and I just thought of doing some sneak archery and one shoting the enemies. I can picture every single inch of the dungeon.... in my thoughts.

Happens to me sometimes as well. Luckily my wife doesn't know either.

I don't really remember my dreams but I once had a dream that I was fighting Frostbite spiders.

Yeah, and with fantasy music overhaul it becomes fantastic. Cannot think of my game without it anymore.

Indeed. But it happens only with some games, not with others. For example, I was falling asleep thinking of warcraft battles against orcs (warcraft 1)...

I usually only dream about video games when I play them way too much. Its not a pleasant experience either... It used to happen to me with Diablo 2, and World of Warcraft during my Grand Marshal grind.

I do think about skyrim a lot throughout the day though. When Im at work I think about what Im going to do when I play, or Ill hum the main theme song. I love that song.

That's a new way of cheating... lol

As for me, I don't think I dream of the games but maybe I just don't remember and I generally do not allow them to accompany me in bed. I somehow "brainwash" by listening a bit to the radio or music before sleeping.

One time I had not slept the night before and decided to play Skyrim. I went into a cave and started to doze off, and out comes Barbas right before I fell asleep! I thought I was dreaming.

Whenever I'm in the grip of an Elder Scrolls obsession (every few weeks) I tend to lie in bed and plan the next day's events. Where my character is, where he could go, how he might react to the events I know he'll face. I also have little snippets of fanfiction that I like to plan out, purely for the entertainment it provides. And I frequently fall asleep while listening to tracks from the Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim soundtracks.

I used to fall asleep listening to that chill harp-sounding song that was in Oblivion that you'd hear in the afternoon in the Imperial City. I like all Bethesda game soundtracks.

I fell asleep in the middle of playing Skyrim many times.... sometimes though, I fell asleep and dream of continue playing the game. Did a lot of things in my dream only to wake up and find out that my Dovahkiin is still standing there... and I got frustrated because I get the feeling of having to "redo" everything that I just did.... in my dream... :bonk:
