A tough position

Post » Wed Jul 03, 2013 5:49 pm

I plan on buying the skyrim legendary edition soon, since i was busy and couldn't play any of the DLC's. But something bothered me from the start, and here's what. I like stealth. i am an assassin, so i naturally joined the dark brotherhood. and then came the civil war quests. BTW, spoilers for DB questline. At the end of DB questline, you kill the emperor of tamriel. But then what? I am a dark elf, i can't join the stormcloaks becouse they hate elfs, and i just murdered an emperor of tamriel, so i can't join the legion either. Anyone got a solution? A role playing argument? Who should i fight for in the civil war?

The Dunmer dislike both. The Empire generally like Dunmer as they had one as Empress before. Stormcloaks....aye. If you like how life is in Windhelm...go for it.

We had a long, interesting subject on this recently.

Should be in the spoilers section but anyway yeah a bit of an RP issue however always a work around.

Could always RP that your dark elf isn't joining the empire to fight for titus mede but to just fight with the empire and support whoever is the next emperor.

Makes sense. Just because you assassinated the Emporer doesnt mean that you hate the empire. Look at Morrowind. Theres a quest for the imperial legion to find the "Talos Cult". The Talos cult had a plot to assassinate the emporer, but they are loyal to the empire. The whole point of the talos cult was to get rid of the "unworthy" emporer on the throne and replace him with someone worthy.

Why get involved in the "war" at all? Let them kill each other. What do you care? It's not your problem. Besides, you have to prove yourself. Can't think of anything more humiliating after killing the emperor.

Anyways. I think the Empire (despite their flaws) are better for Tamriel than the Stormcloaks.

Thanks a LOT guys ( :D), now i have decided: its a tough choice, but i will go with the empire. But, i will kill the emperor as well. My reason, i like the empire, i just think that titus mede II isn't a worthy emperor. After all, the best dynasty was the Septims, and they died with martin at the end of oblivion. so my dark elf likes the empire, but understands it is in need of a change, so he assassinates the emperor, so that someone better may take his place.

The Empire doesn't have to know you killed him.

You were in an assasin suit, I assume. If you try to stick to the ''disguise'' idea you could pretend that the assasin was an unknown figure to the Empire.

Anyway, the Dark elves can join both, really. And that counts for every race, actually. I've had Dark elves with their own reasons to join the Stormcloaks.
