pulling an Indiana Jones

Post » Thu Jul 04, 2013 8:49 am

so, lately when I go through Nordic Ruins, and I come to those Weight Sensitive Pressure Plates, I've been pulling a Maneuver Like in Indiana Jones where I swap the treasure on it with some random piece of clutter.

Anybody else do this? I found it hard at the beginning, but I have become quite good at it.

On occasion, but I normally jump over them.

yeah it does. on those small weight sensitive plates (like the one the Model Ship is on during that ThievesGuild quest). you just have to be quick, and make sure the clutter you are throwing onto it is of equal or greater weight.

There was one quest where a pressure plate on a table needed something on it for a door to stay open, you're underground in some forsworn area and there's a hagraven. I dumped a forsworn carcass on the plate, but I assume everyone has to do something like that at that point in order to get through the dungeon??

I tend to just move out of the way of the trap. I'd thought of replacing the item but never have, neat to know that it actually works.

Haha, yes actually I did this the first time i discovered those pressure things. I dont really do it now anymore, just grab the item and jump away, but yeah i used to "pull and indiana jones" as well all the time.

I didn't even know it was possible. I usually just take what's there, but never really worrying about moving because the traps are next to harmless. I'd have to be in real Role-Play mode to do something like that. I might try it though. It would be funny to roll out of the way with the Silent Roll perk.

Maybe you should try a harder difficulty or something. On master, the traps all basically one hit kill my dudes, except for the dart traps, even on master those are insignifigant.
