Nipton Rebuilt Thread Fifteen

One has always been told that if you do not learn from your past you are doomed to repeat it. However, what if by some chance history is meant to repeat itself, even if one were to change variables. Nipton is such a place, a place where the people are different yet things repeat. What if it was just one giant cycle that was meant to repeat itself? The town was ravished and destroyed by the Legion despising what they considered filth and sin. The courier passed by the town after its demise and pitied those that suffered but in reality he did not care, he was apathetic to the concern of those around him and soon that would be shown when the second battle of Hoover Dam took place.

Soon a group of people, with no ties to each other’s past came together to the desolated town, to create a life of their own. As they grew and formed lives in the tiny town and rebuilt it, things became eerily familiar. Soon, the vices of the past became to resurface and things seemed to repeat again. Soon history became the present and the present became the past. However similar things became, life went on. The small crossroads town would soon become the center of attention. Everyone wanted it for themselves yet none could control it, only it citizens could.

After discovering the town was rebuilt, the new Caesar sent his men to ensure it would burn but the NCR assisted the citizens. Yet the NCR Colonel threatened and soon after ransacked the town, he tried to wipe it from the earth and build upon its ashes his own vision of a town. Yet the citizens of Nipton refused to be beaten, and fought the bear until it was on its knees retreating. This fighting spirit envelopes those that live in the town and drives them to live on and fight for their livelihood. Nipton is where a new life can be built, but will you be able to resist its draw, or will you repeat the actions of those before you?

Factions of the Mojave

Primm: Sheriff Meyers keeps the town safe from powder ganger attacks but the roads around Primm are not very safe, although mercenaries provide escorts for those that can afford their prices. The town walled itself in and is very cautious of who it admits.

Goodsprings: They are defending themselves fairly well from Powder gangers but it is a dangerous place to live. The town has benefited from tourist wishing to see where the courier came from. With new string of income they have hired former NCR troopers as guards for the town, and made the Powder Ganger hesitant to attack.

Novac: They've were struggling to hold off against waves of feral Ghouls that had been attacking them from REPCONN. The BOS moved in to REPCONN Test Site and removed the ghoul threat. They took the chance to take all advance weapon tech from Novac. Some of the Bright Followers returned, although never mentioned where they were, and have helped rebuild the town, and it has become and important pit stop on the way to New Vegas, although people sometimes are harassed by BOS troops.

Westside: Has been weakened by constant fiend attacks but continues to be self-sufficient. They produce their own food, weapons and clothes. They have gained notoriety for having well equipped militia, of a few good snipers that keep them safe.

Jacobstown: Continues to be a safe haven for mutants but some progress has been made regarding the Nightkin cure. They have kept the area safe, and leave humans alone, as long as they don’t shoot mutants.

Boomers: They have pledged loyalty to the Courier who obtained the bomber for them. They have set up camps outside the area of the Airbase, and keep intruders out. They fight on behalf of New Vegas, and have signed various trade agreements with them as well as the Gunrunners. Have sent some members to Camp McCarran to study and see if they can get planes working. Have not had any success yet.

The Strip: Yes Man keeps the families in line on the strip but tensions are high, but Mk I Securitrons keep the peace. However they have signed loyalty agreements to the Courier. Gomorrah, has stepped up the drug trade, and are believe to be dealing with the Khan. The White Glove society, continues with its peculiar practices without knowledge of the outside. The Chairmen continue their trade of high quality entertainment; they are slowly becoming the best-armed family in the Strip. Lucky 38, inhabited by the Courier, who has not been seen in a long time, a strange fellow with twisted hair and the old world flag on his back, as well as the companions the Courier had made on his journey, except for Cass who returned to the caravan business.

Camp McCarran: Controlled by New Vegas, serves as transport station for NCR citizens to avoid Freeside, if they can afford monorail travel cost. Fiends constantly attack the base but it has been kept safe by a large force of disillusioned former NCR and Legion soldiers. They have pledged their support for New Vegas, for as long as they get their paychecks. This is where New Vegas true power lies. It has slowly grown and is becoming a growing town, but under watchful eye of securitrons and of the Lucky 38.

Follower of the Apocalypse: At first they struggled to provide basic services for Freeside residents. However the Courier ensured they received help from The Strip and from the King. They have a grown into formidable force, and when necessary provide escort for NCR citizens to the Strip, since the Kings will not disturb those under the protection of FoA guards.

Freeside: The area has fallen under the rule of the King, however he heeds the advice and knowledge that comes from the Lucky 38. They harass any NCR citizen except those that travel under the protection of FoA guards, although for an unexplained reason some still try to travel without FoA help, even though they charge very little, and cost is far more reasonable than the Monorail.

Black Mountain: has been seemingly abandoned but around the area unseen forces assault caravans. Most Nighkins left to go live in Jacobstown, but a few crazed ones remained. BOS has begun to launch attacks in order to take control of the Radio Facility up top.

Red Rock: The Khans remained in the area and have continued to produce high quality drugs. A few well armed caravans have been seen leaving Red Rock, and meeting customers outside of New Vegas. They have also signed trade agreements with the FoA for medicine in exchange of knowledge and new ways of making their product.

Boulder City: Remains place to stop before heading to Hoover Dam. It is considered an Independent town and will not tolerate fighting from NCR or Legion sympathizers. Raiders attack the area, but the wall of the town keep it safe.

Camp Golf: It was given to NCR by New Vegas to serve as local embassy, as well as a sign of friendship between the two. Well armed and prepared in case of Legion attack, headed by Chief Hanlon. It is kept under the watchful eye of New Vegas to ensure that not too many troops are amassed to prove a threat. As security measure, the boomers have some artillery guns aimed at the site, readily waiting for the green light from the Courier.

Hoover Dam: Has a combined force of New Vegas, NCR and FoA engineers as well as some BOS scribes to keep facility running. BOS sent scribes to study the tech, and to keep and eye out on the facility, and ensure it can’t be used against them. The Courier and Veronica asked for the BOS presence in order to keep the peace. Tension is high between NCR engineers and BOS scribes, although neither side is allowed to have armed guards.

The Fort: The Legion retook the area and now controls it, Courier leaves them alone but keeps watchful eye. Not much is known of what they are up to but they also retook Cottonwood Cove.

BOS: They continue to control Hidden Valley and Helios One. They have taken to patrolling the I-15 and Highway 95. They have made it the safest route to New Vegas, but will stop anyone they believe might have advance tech. They take laser weapons or any hint of advance combat tech. They have taken control of Repconn test site and currently use it as a research facility. Veronica opened McNamara’s eyes about expanding the BOS and adapting. He has begun recruiting wastelanders into the BOS ranks, and is using the Repconn HQ as recruitment station. They emptied the HQ of anything usable, including the robots, whom they rewired to serve the BOS.

Name: Regina (Reggie) Torrez

Skills: Reggie always has an ace in the hole ready to play, making her a good cheat at small time poker games. She is handy with tools, but not great, but a Jerry-rigger rather. She is a proficient hunter and trapper and learned from her father how to handle a gun.

Physical appearance: 5'8" 130 pounds, Usually she wears her hair in a pony tail, or braided pig tails. Her eyes are golden brown, her skin is olive colored and tans easily. Reggie slender and fit with adequate curves. She has a scar that runs from the bridge of her nose to the center of her right cheek. It's an old wound, and is not much more than a slightly lighter colored line these days.

Personality: Reggie is confident, and blunt. She is not afraid to speak her mind, and is not afraid of confrontation. To those not close to her, she comes off as brash, rude and arrogant. But Reggie shows a mutual respect followed by general concern for those she befriends.

Reggie believes strongly in old world ways, specifically the late 1800's. She believes if there is a problem, you settle it, no need to wait for the local law dogs to arrive. She would take to an good old fashioned duel in the streets. Where, whether you are right or wrong, if you are the one left standing it doesn't matter anyway. Her feelings about the Great War leave nothing in question. To Reggie, the countries who engaged in the nuclear exchange are cowards. Instead of facing their differences head on, they chose to sit behind their terminals thousands of miles away and utilize satellite technology to do their dirty work. If the issue is brought up, she will carry on about the cowardice of the war. She lives one day at a time, when her time is up, someone, or something will put her down.

Weapons & armour/clothing: Prewar, blued, Remington Wingmaster 870 12 gage pump shotgun with orange fiber-optic sights. Carved into the stock is, El diablo, la hija de (The devil's daughter) Twin .357 Magnums with longer barrels and polished Jade inserts on the handles. 10 inch Bowie knife, also with polished Jade inserts in the handle, as well as a spiked knuckle guard (spike knuckles attached)

Faded, worn blue jeans with brahmin hide patches on the knees and backside. A leather strap with accompanying holster reside on her right leg. Dirty white tank-top underneath a red checkered button down shirt. Well worn dirty brown duster, the bottom is tattered and torn as it was once too long for Reggie, but she wore it regardless. Over the time that she has owned it, is has been worn down to her size. It has been reinforced with brahmin hide on the elbows and right (firing) shoulder. Old cowboy boots which she had metal covers attached over the toes, as well as around the heels. Dingy roaming trader hat, sides tied up with boot strings to make like a cowboy hat. It is bent down steeply in the front and rear, covering most of her eyes. Tortoise shell sunglasses.

Backstory: Reggie, is the daughter of the once infamous Daniel, The Devil Dog, Jones. A name which he was called due to his reddish skin tone and pencil thin black moustache and pointed goatee, much like that of the old world depictions of the devil. Her mother, Michelle Torrez, was the long time lover of The Devil Dog. Born in a small settlement in Northern Arizona known as Tular, Reggie's mother ran a small time supplies shop, making her living selling to the passersby while Daniel would roam the surrounding area conducting his vigilante justice.

Reggie was a disappointment to Daniel at first, as he longed for a son to carry on his lineage. He and Michelle agree to naming their daughter Regina, so Daniel would call her by the name he had hoped his son would be named, Reggie. Daniel, in an feeble attempt to lead others to believe he had a son, forbid Michelle to let Reggie's hair grow long. Hence, she was quite the tomboy, up until she reached the adolescent years and began to mature into a young woman. She was ridiculed by the local boys, and took to fisticuffs on many an occasion. Daniel taught her to play poker, and she would not only hold her own in a fist fight, but would embarrass the boys in card games also. Always with an extra ace up her sleeve, she won the majority of the time.

The first time Daniel put a gun in Reggie's hands was on her thirteenth birthday. It was a beat up .22 caliber rifle, Daniel was pleased with the steady hands of Reggie. Over time Daniel taught her that her guns should be an extension of herself, "be one with your weapon," he told her. Daniel worked with his blossoming daughter, teaching her his ways and even going as far as having regular duels using blanks. Reggie's cat like reflexes, and keen eye sight proved their great value. At the slightest flinch, Reggie would regularly win their duels. Hand to hand, she has a vicious right hook and is nimble and quick. At sixteen, her father presented her with a restored Remington shot gun, something in which Reggie holds dear. Its blued body, and true sights enable Reggie to be dead on at one hundred yards, further in good weather.

Reggie trekked across the Mojave with her father, much to Michelle's dismay, creating a bond unlike any other she experienced. Living an outlaw type lifestyle, while bringing vigilante justice with them to each town they entered. One morning when Reggie awoke, her father sat by the smoldering campfire carving on her shotgun. Daniel handed it to her after he had finished, it read The Devil's daughter in Spanish. Three days later was the last time Reggie saw her father, nineteen and alone, she did what it took to survive.

Reggie took to her gambling, that provided her with many interesting items. One item in particular was the pieces of Jade that now adorn the handles of her pistol and Bowie knife. A knife in which caused her to be shunned from her home settlement of Tular. One of her cards fell from her sleeve, as alcohol dumbed her common sense. The man whom she had been beating hand over fist lunged at her with the Bowie knife, the tip cutting the right side of her face. He demanded his money back, Reggie's reply was her Magnum to the man's forehead, relieving his head of it's duty to carry his brain. She was ushered out and cursed to never set foot in Tular again.

No home, and just her belongings she had with her, Reggie went from town to town. Using her wits and arrogant charm to get would be lovers drunk and buy a room. They woke up both penniless and without boots. She would throw the boots on the roof of a nearby building, allowing her ample time to get away. Nobody other than tribals would venture on the hot grounds of the Mojave without boots. Reggie grew tired of this lifestyle, and the things that she heard about the NCR piqued her interest. But, her father had been a wanted man by the NCR for some time, so she took her mothers last name of Torrez.

Reggie was diligent in her efforts to become a soldier. She showcased her skill set, though able to survive most hand to hand combat, even though she was not as powerful as most, her shooting skills impressed. But, her bad attitude towards the Drill Instructor put an abrupt halt to her becoming an NCR soldier. She still wanders the Mojave seeking a more permanent home.

Name: Ace Makovich

Age: 31

six: Male

Race: Caucasian

Skills: Energy weapons, repair, science

Physical appearance: 5’10 & 220lbs. Light brown hair with hazel eyes. Due to his training he is well built. Likes to keep his hair short but long enough to comb forward. He has slightly pale skin due to living in a bunker for so long.

Personality: Had always been reclusive and quiet. Ever since Helios One, he's become more outspoken and will make his opinion known when needed. Really opens up when he is drinking and might actually make a good companion.

Weapons & armor/clothing: He wears an engineer’s jumpsuit but wears an old bulletproof vest underneath, as well as a pair of black boots. Has his scribe robe but he keeps it in his pack. Carries a plasma defender, but leaves it in his pack due to forgetting to bring enough energy cells. Currently uses a 10mm SMG with a few cartridges of ammo. Due to his main training as scribe he doesn’t like using weapon unless strictly necessary and even then he feels guilty. He also carries a combat knife hidden in his boot.

Backstory: Ace was once a brilliant scribe for the BOS. There never was a project or problem too hard for him to figure out and resolve. Alongside many of the other BOS member he participated at Helios One before it was taken over by the NCR. His main task was resolving the power issues and rerouting them to the weapon, but realized they were missing the transmitter (Euclid's C-Finder).

He loved his job and discovering old world tech and experimenting with it whenever he got a chance. What made it even greater was working along the girl of his dreams and current wife. She was paladin and a soldier, a complete opposite to his persona. She was tough and hardy, never shy of expressing her opinion and using a weapon whenever possible to fix her problems.

When Helios one was overrun and McNamara called for a retreat to hidden valley, his wife stayed behind ensuring the scribes made it out safely. Knowing he would leave willingly without her, she knocked him and had her squire carry him to the Bunker. When he came to and found out that she died defending the retreat, he hit the bottle hard to escape his sorrow. Ever since he became more desolate and avoided people. His work started to add up and became a burden on the other members. McNamara called him into his chambers and told him that until he gets his act together he would have to leave. In order to help him, he authorized for him to take y two weapons and a combat knife from the armory as well as supplies from the mess hall and some of the local currency of caps.

Name: Danielle 'Danny' Johnson

Age: 28

six: Female

Race: Caucasian

Skills: rifles, field medicine, lock picking, survival

Physical appearance: Danny is 5’ 8” with long auburn hair and has golden brown eyes. She is physically fit and attractive. Her arms are covered at all times due to her upper body being heavily scarred. It’s a part of her she doesn’t like talking about.

Personality: She is gruff and takes no attitude from everyone.

Weapons & armor/clothing: She wears a pair of desert camouflaged combat armor with long sleeves. She has added padding to muffle sounds and allow her to stealthily come up on a target.

She carries a silenced snipers rifle and a silenced SMG. She carries plenty of ammo at all times as well as an arsenal of various grenades for when the circumstances warrant their need.

She also carries a large Bowie knife that she uses when in a tight spot. For the most part she dislikes using melee weapons but is proficient in their use when required. Any time a contract calls for stealth she carries a garrote around with her to easily take down enemies.

Backstory: Danny’s family were Enclave remnants and true devout believers in their cause. Once they were disbanded and dispersed her family moved out to the middle of nowhere where she was born and raised. Her father and mother raised her and taught her survival skills and everything she knows about fighting.

She always heard about the values and honor of the enclave and their cause but she could give a damn. She was a rebel and didn’t care for what they had to say and once she was 15 she left home with her father’s sniper rifle and mom’s SMG. She believed she was ready to be on her own. However, she was caught off guard one day without her equipment and she suffered for it.

After escaping from her captors, she managed to make her way back to her hideout and retrieved her equipment. Ever since that day she’s been careful to always be armed and never trust anyone. In order to survive she began taking on bounties that were put out by anyone and soon made a name for herself to always get her mark.

She decided she had spent long enough time on the road and wanted to settle down somewhere. She’d heard that Nipton was a happening town and decided it would make the best place for her to start a new life. Hell with its location she could come across some good contracts as well.

Skills: Steve is skilled with small arms, bartering for goods and repair, capable of fixing most machines & robot. although likey to be unneeded, Steve can knows how to drive vehicles.

Physical appearance: Steve is 6’2 with a slight athletic built. Steve is clean shaven with short Black hair with somewhat pale skin. Navy blue eyes, Steve also has slash mark scar on his face and a couple on his chest…

Personality: Steve is friendly man but who can get along with most people, often changes his attitude based on who he’s talking too.

Weapons: Steve’s weapons include a 5.56 pistol with black synthetic grip and a flare gun. Although not a weapon Steve also has a Mr handy robot called “Jimmy” which he uses to store his item and cook food.

Armour/clothing: Steve wears a black collared shirt with rolled-up sleeves & slightly dirty white tie, black trousers with matching combat boots and Leather belt with a pistol holster attracted to it.
Steve also has his old NCR engineer jumpsuit and beret which he keep stored inside his Mr handy robot along with this toolkit and other items.

Faction (NCR, Legion, BOS, None. Etc): originally NCR but is no longer apart of them, he is still however a Citizen.

Backstory:
Steve was born in 2251 in the capital of the NCR to a pair of farm labourers and from an early age Steve had shown a knack for fixing things, getting training and schooling from the Follower Steve was set to become a successful engineer….

Fate had other ideas for Steve and on his 17th birthday both his parents died and although he could have stayed the followers he decided to find his uncle who lived in the Hub..

Rreaching the hub however Steve fell in with a bad crowd and then went on to join a local gang.. And for the next few years Steve stayed in the gang, using the knowledge he gained with the followers to repair the gangs armour and weapons. With improved weapons and armour and leadership of “ace” the gang soon clawed its way up to the top the food chain, becoming the biggest gang in the hub…

This however brought the attention of the authorities and shortly afterwards almost entire gang was captured or killed during a raid on their hideout… Steve was one of ones captured and was soon convicted of being a raider but under the name “Sam Cooper” having lied about his name….

“Sam” was then sent to one of the NCR Correctional Facilities being set up to help build train lines or something but escaped within days after having friend bribe a guard to give him a stealth boy.

Using the stealth boy Steve broke out of broke prison but was now a wanted man…. So Steve decided to hide on the one place no-one would everlook for the him… the NCR army!

Enlisting in the Army, Sam’s engineering skills got him placed in Mechanized division and once finishing his training Steve was stationed at Camp McCarran working on the vehicles that the NCR had managed to get working…

Several years later when the NCR was kicked out of the Mojave by the courier Steve decided to stay and spent the next year visiting places in the Mojave such as Jacobstown and the repcon offices were he found and repair his Mr handy robot.

Steve is continuing his journey looking for a place to settle down in…

Name: Samantha “Sam” Jenkins

Age: 26

six: Female

Race: Caucasian

Skills: Guns, melee weapons, and unarmed

Physical appearance: She is 5’ 6”, 130 lbs, has the right curves that attract most men. Told to be very good looking, and she uses it to her advantage when necessary. Has long red hair, with bright green eyes, pearly white teeth.

Personality: Cruel, cunning, and charming. She does whatever it takes to fulfill her contract. Will not let anything get in the way. Uses her personality and sixuality as a means to an end and will not hesitate to use it to her advantage. Made a name for herself in the

Weapons & armor/clothing: Wears regular combat armor with a black duster. She uses a Chinese Officer’s sword, and carries two silenced N99 10mm pistols, as well as two combats knives that are kept behind her back.

Faction (NCR, Legion, BOS, None. Etc): Littlehorn and Associates

Back-story: Sam was born and raised in the Capital wasteland. She was orphaned at a very young age and took her of herself ever since. Luckily she found refuge within a raider group. From a young age she was taught to be vicious cold. Unlike the other Raiders, she wasn’t not as blood thirsty as they were, and when she could she left the group. She used her fighting skills to her advantaged and assaulted a merchant, killing him and taking everything he owned. She sold most things and made her way to Tenpenny Tower. She knew she would need caps to live there so she took it to assaulting unsuspecting wastelanders and robbing them blind, and when necessary killing them. Her actions caught the attention of Daniel Littlehorn where he offered her a position and took her in as his protégé and adopted daughter.

She quickly rose through the ranks and made a name for herself within the organization. She made it a specialty of hers to stealthily kill her marks by disguising herself. Many times she prosttuted herself and after finishing the act she would kill the mark or if running low on caps rob the client blind. Due to her actions she became one of the associates and field contacts for the other members. However, the Regulators soon learned of her role and began sending teams out to kill her. Littlehorn found out about the plot to kill her through one of his contacts and dispatched Sam out west to open a branch of the organization out west. He wasn’t really interested in opening a branch out west but he felt it necessary to get her to safety.

She made her way out west, but along the way she fought many Regulators. She became fascinated by the Legion when she crossed into their territory but their treatment of women led her to continued out west. She heard a lot about the Mojave and how easy it was to make one’s fortune there at New Vegas. On her way to New Vegas she sees a small town and decides to stop there and resupply, and see if she could find an easy mark to perhaps help her out.

Name: Jennifer "Jenny" Wilson

Age: 18

six: Female

Race: Caucasian

Skills: Speech, Survival, and Sneak

Physical appearance: She is 5’ 4”, 110 lbs, She has dark black hair, and has brown eyes. She is a tad short, and skinny, she has some slight curves, but none that would make most men turn their heads. She was malnourished for most of her life, and it affected her growing. She is not flat chested, but not big enough to write home about. She actually prefers it this way that way she can go about unnoticed. She wears simple leather loafers, that when she is sneaking around are very quiet, but do not provide a lot of protection if she were to hit something.

Personality: She is very timid, and quiet. She is very reserved, and will only talk once she gets to know someone and feels safe.

Weapons & armor/clothing: Wears a pair of torn blue jeans. She wears tight fitting orange undershirt that shows her belly button and tattered overshirt to cover her shoulders and briast area. She carries a knife given to her as a small girl by her father before he abandoned both her and her mother. Aside from that she carries a walking stick that is very thick, she uses it on her travels and to defend herself. She abhors guns, and will not use them under any circumstances.

Back-story: Born in Freeside she was with both her parents until she was 6. Before her father abandoned both her, and her mother, he gave a knife as gift to his daughter. It is the only such weapon that she likes to use when she needs to defend herself. Her mother barely scrapped by to sustain them and eventually she passed away leaving her alone at the young age of 10.

She roamed alone by herself around Freeside, and many sought to take advantage of her, and succeeded. The only person that showed her compassion was Julie Farkas of the Followers. She provided Jenny with a place to sleep and food. Due to the experience with her father and other men in Freeside, she has learned to hate and distrust most of them.

Eventually she got a job working at the King’s club. Due to her hard work The King himself protected her, and ensured no one would try anything with her. She liked working there, an they provided her with many comforts and skills. It was there where she learned to defend herself in hand to hand combat, and where The King gave her the walking stick she uses for her defense. Eventually, she decided to leave and find her own luck in the Mojave, she heard stories of Nipton and headed there.

Personality: He is usually liked where he goes. He likes making people laugh. He also can be persuasive at times... He kind of had to be if he got caught when he was a thief.

Weapons & Armor/ Clothing: Kyle wears a Pre-War Business Suit and a Pre-War Fedora. If a conflict does arise he has reinforced leather armor. He carries around a 10mm pistol and a Bowie Knife. He also hides a Chinese Assault Rifle in a suitcase.

Backstory: Kyle Grant used to be a conman. He would steal, trick, and sell false products to people. One time he upset a mob boss and took on the new name Kyle Grant. He became a scavenger and had a partner name Bill Connor. One day Kyle and Bill were looking out by Jean's Skydiving when Bill was blown up by a demolition charge set by the Powder Gangers. Seconds later Kyle was forced to kill them with his pistol which he nicknamed "Lady Luck" after that incident. He took Bill's rifle and put it in their briefcase. He went to Goodsprings and sold the useless junk and Chet told him about Nipton. He wanted to see this place so he set off towards Nipton.

Skills: He is very persuasive, handsome, skilled with guns and blades, and is an expert tracker.

Physical appearance: Dan is what people would call a "handsome" man. His charms help him while he is trying to catch a criminal.
He is 6' 1" and has Dark Brown hair. He has some stubble growing for a sole patch.

Personality: Dan is charming, and will do almost anything to catch his targets, who are usually criminals or rivaling business members

Weapons & armour/clothing: Dan uses a hunting rifle, which is carried in a duffle bag. He wears a duffle bag, Sunglasses that represent Aviators, and wears formal clothing, that looks like Dean Domino's Tux (Except not battered)

Backstory: When Dan was born in California he grew up in a middle class family, with enough money. He learned how to hunt animals at age 10 for food, to sell and keep. At age 12 he learned how to use a rifle by shooting Geckos in the head. At age 14 Dan was living the NCR lifestyle, wanting to be a soldier and kept training. He joined the NCR at age 18 and quickly excelled in rifles and marksmanship. They made him a Sniper & Recon and when he passed that at age 19 he enlisted in the 1st Recon battalion.

After one mission where he and his spotter got attacked by an unknown Legion hit squad. His spotter was killed and he ran. It still haunts him so he settled for MP for a while. It was way too easy for him so he asked command if there was something harder.

They saw how well he did at his job so at age 23 they let him join the NCR Criminal Trackers. Basically he tracked down people, found them, and arrested or killed them. On rare occasions there would be a pesky mimicking group who he would infiltrate and destroy them from the inside. He wears fancy clothing after he found an old Pre-War book that talked about a man named James Bond. He does many things that this James does and it usually works well when he is infiltrating.

His new mission is to find Kyle Grant, a man who had stole money from the NCR and the Casinos.

Race: Caucasian/Hispanic

Physical Description: Claudio is tall and thin for his age. He hasn't quite grown into his body yet which leaves him a bit awkward and gangly. Careful observation would prove that Claudio will grow up to be a handsome man. He has sharp green eyes and black hair that he keeps short. He has a lightly tanned complexion. He has burn scars all over his body and his arms bear the mark of torture by a knife.

Personality: Claudio is quite insane. He has frantic mood swings and will swing from being friendly and kind to being utterly deprived and maniacal. He has an obsession with women's briasts(as most fifteen year old males do) and has little impulse control at times. Claudio is desensitized to violence and has no problem with killing. He secretly loves pain and the oblivion that goes with it. When he isn't crazy, Claudio is friendly amiable and very likable. Somewhat addicted to Med-X and Psycho

Clothing: Tattered cheap pants and a makeshift leather armor that is in obvious need of repair.

Skills: Claudio is a fairly decent shot and prefers to use shotguns. Claudio is handy with a knife and can throw,as well as take, a punch. Life in the Wastes has lent him with great survival skills and the ability to track and stalk his prey.
Weapons: A combat shotgun with regular buckshot shells as well as slug rounds and a handful of explosive shells, a larger-than-usual combat knife, and spiked knuckle gloves. He carries a .357 revolver as a backup gun.

Backstory: Claudio was born into this world as a fiend. For as long as he could remember, he was either being shot at, beaten, or both. He learned quickly how to survive, he had to. Every one of his scars are a testament to a time when he was either too slow, too foolish, or too unlucky. Claudio learned from his scars and grew tough and mean.

Claudio took his first life at the age of twelve. A group of Fiends had captured a handfull of NCR soldiers. To test his mettle, Claudio was ordered to kill them. At first he was a little worried, but fear of being ridiculed and beaten urged him on. He looked into the eyes of his captor. Claudio could practically smell the fear coming from the man and this gave him a sense of pleasure that he had never felt before. The young boy smiled widely and calmly slid the blade across the soldier's neck. Blood sprayed onto his face and clothing but Claudio didn't mind. In fact, it made the whole experience all the more exciting. He repeated the process with the other four captors. He took extra pleasure in taking the life of the lone woman of the group.

Three years passed, and Claudio began to realize that his particular gang of fiends was slowly beginning to die off. Much to his dismay, he discovered that there were bounties on just about every one of his buddies. One by one, they were picked off and Claudio eventually found himself on his own. Alone and destitute, the young fiend set off to a new territory were he wouldn't be hunted. A town called Nipton

Skills: Excellent with all energy weapons and explosives, due to her background. Her medical knowledge is a bit better than the average person, but she will refuse to acknowledge this skill. Leilani enjoys talking her way out of things, and will do so if a situation arises. She also prides herself on acquiring old world sign language and will use it sometimes. She is also a very skilled cook.

Physical appearance: Stands around 5’4, with long black hair usually in a ponytail or tied hastily in a messy bun and almond shaped eyes with a light blue/green tone. She isn’t overly well endowed, but has a very fit but full body and outstanding curves. She has burn mark on her right forearm, and fair skin, which is slightly tanned due to traveling to Nipton.

Personality: Growing up in a bad area of New Reno, she has obtained great street smarts, but is cautious towards people belonging to factions, especially the BoS, who she believes their sole motive of existence is to confiscate energy weapons and technology from the rest of the world. Despite this, she is extremely carefree and likeable, always enjoying a good laugh and cracking jokes and sarcasm whenever she can. Being a people pleaser, can cause her to be too trusting and gullible at times but is loyal to people she befriends, and will not hesitate to back them up in their troubles.

Weapons & armour/clothing: Carries a LAER slung on her back, and a cosmic knife on her hip. She usually wears something on the likes of the merc charmer outfit, but likes to change clothes often.

Ethnic Origins: Caucasian

Skills and Talents: To say that Gaston is proficiently skilled in anything is inaccurate, to say the least. It is not fair to say, however, that Gaston is completely unskilled, or even helpless. No, this statement is far from true. The man’s one true talent is talking, persuading, and manipulating. Being quite the Lady Killer, Gaston has done everything from seducing the high class virgins of New Vegas to Triple Crossing a Powder Ganger while they held a gun to his head. Speechcraft and Bartering come second nature to him, and he has honed his skills over the years of freelancing. Gaston also knows how to handle himself in a fight- so long as he’s a reasonable distance away from his enemies, and maybe has a couple other of people on his side. To say he’s a crack-shot with a pistol is completely false, as he is known to panic and just shoot wildly until everything is dead, though he is known to actually aim his gun from time to time. In addition, Gaston knows how to pick simple locks and stay hidden when he needs to, as well as use energy weapons. Gaston considers himself very luck and charismatic, though he is completely lacking in the realms of physical prowess and endurance outside of the bedchambers.

Appearance: Despite his current downtrodden state, Gaston radiates class. Both his appearance and actions reek of it to at least some degree, from his New Vegas Shades to his fashionably unkempt black hair, and even his Bounty Hunter’s duster which he does his best to keep clean and fitting. A pair of bright, ocean blue eyes act as the focal point on his handsomely gaunt face, and a set of white teeth rest in his mouth, ready to pop out in a dazzling, seductive and/or lecherous smile at any time.

Personality: Often referred to as a player, or Lady Killer, Gaston is quite the ladies’ man. Lazy and unambitious, he cares only for himself, or those who have somehow earned his friendship, which is rarity. Gaston is very wry and sarcastic, and will insult and jest even in the face of certain doom, depending on how scared he is. This good sense of humor, however, sometimes gets the better of him, and makes him many enemies.

Equipment: Gaston carries a .44 Magnum revolver, polished to the point where its silver exterior positively gleams in the Mojave sun. He once owned a Laser RCW, but has since lost it in his travels, leaving it behind so that it would not weigh him down. Dressed in a classy Bounty Hunter duster (or at least as classy as a duster can get) and a pair of killer shades he obtained in New Vegas, Gaston also carries a moderate sized pack which contains nothing but a few empty bottles of water and a handful of caps.

Previous Occupation: Before becoming a High Roller and Bounty Hunter, Gaston was a Junior Officer in the Enclave.

History: Born the son of a high ranking Enclave officer, Gaston grew up in the confines of a remote Enclave base. His father was a very strict military man, though he never raised Gaston in a similar manner. It was deduced early on by the intellectually sharp Gaston that he was of illegitimate birth, and that his father could have cared less about his spawn. With discipline rarely occurring, the child obtained several habits that still persist to this day, such as laziness, lack of respect for superiors, recreational use of chems, womanizing, and rude sarcasm.

When Gaston was sixteen, his father died, leaving him alone in the world outside of the few officers and soldiers that the teenager called “friends”. Having to take action now that his father had moved on (a notion that didn’t bother the young Gaston in the slightest), he was forced to join the Enclave’s ranks as an officer. Having all the training already, the only thing left for the unambitious teen was to select a corps. What was lazier and less dangerous than the supply corps? Gaston chose this above all others, glad to escape the fate of a common infantry or other hard combat soldier.

Gaston had had enough of the Enclave by the age of eighteen, sick of their rigid command structure and what he considered to be “ridiculous” disciplinary actions. Having been in several small skirmishes and a few larger battles, Gaston was no stranger to bloodshed when he deserted, leaving his life behind him with a boyish grin on his face. He arrived in the Mojave Wasteland about a year later, attracted by the dazzling lights of the strip.

He, of course, blew all of his money his first week in Vegas. Capless and jobless, Gaston fell into employment with a few of the Casinos in Freeside, working as a freelance Bounty Hunter and enforcer. His reputation, while small, was spectacular. Gaston usually did his job well enough, but he often botched jobs, if not skipping out on them entirely, as well as stealing food and supplies from his employers. Despite this, he persisted pretty well, and was often successful in earning caps, booze, and women.

Throughout his years of bounty hunting and prospecting, Gaston somewhat improved his skills, though not by much, being the unambitious hedonist he is. It wasn’t until recently, a few months after the second battle of Hoover Dam that Gaston made a powerful enemy on the Strip, and has been laying low in the Mojave for a while. His travels, at the current point in time, are leading him towards the old town he once knew as Nipton...

Name: Kayla "Rascal" Montigue

Race: Human, Caucasian

Skills: Strong pain tolerance, Skilled with small blades. No true sense of right or wrong.

Physical appearance:Rascal would look like any other seven year old girl. She wears her dirty face well, with two bright blue eyes resting in her sockets, shining like little diamonds in a canvass of dirt and grime. Her cheek bones are placed up high with small heart shaped lips. Her hair is long and frayed looking as though it hasn't been cut once in her life. There's a large trashy streak in her hair on the left side of her head, dyed a bright fluorescent pink. Under all the dirt was a sweet olive skin color, lightly kissed by the sun. Maybe she would grow to be a pretty woman under all this dirt, but as her mother used to say, beauty is a curse best avoided in a mans world.

Personality: Rascal is far from being the perfect person. Though quiet and very mature, she takes interest in everybody and hides behind a very sinister smile. At her core she's a sweet sensitive girl but she has developed bouts of uncontrollable anger and psychotic tendencies (see backstory for details) which have become increasingly frequent. She fears men. All other details will become more apparent in role play, she is a developing character.

Weapons & armour/clothing: A small pre-war switch blade, most likely intended for gutting small fish.
She wears light pink overalls with a white (or at least it used to be, maybe a million years ago) long sleeve underneath. It has a thick turtle neck. She seems to prefer being barefoot, so her feet are quite thick and calloused.

Backstory: Born into a raider community, Kayla has been exposed to death since the day of her birth. Her mother's name (Deceased) was Dayna and her father could be any of the men whom they resided with. With this in mind, Kayla has never learned to trust men. Her mother would whisper to her at night of the evils of man, of how they use women and children for themselves, and how she must learn to be tough or be eaten live by the wastes. Though children were not seen as beings to be protected and raised into fearful soldiers, but rather, lousy trainees who will and have been left behind. No advlt lives will ever be spared for the sake of a rookie.
Kayla's mother was raised by a gang far from where she lived, called The Wildcats. She grew up in a life of crime and developed an addiction to Psycho, which she passed on to Kayla. Though she tried to escape her life of crime and murder, she fell into an even nastier crowd. As a child she read the story of Romeo and Juliet obsessively, resulting in her choosing the last name Montigue as she settled into her new life. Definitely not considered a strong woman, she was used and abused by the men around her, resulting in Kayla. The second of five children she's had, to have survived. Kayla had a brother, Dylan whom she was close with in childish spirit. It was Dylan who protected her from becoming bait to the rest of the group and kept her alive, for there has been children traveling with them before herself.

Though Kayla was always odd, her first murder was at the age of five. Her mother would tell her of the evil Wildcats she used to live with and Kayla sought to impress her mother. The clan leader had a cat, Domino, whom Kayla has stabbed thirty seven times, and then dismembered. It was the first in a series of kills Kayla had committed with no near end in sight. She felt urged to take the lives of others, and while at first she displayed this behavior with pride.. Dayna had eventually scared her into concealing her dark habit.

Her family and fellow raiders were murdered weeks before her discovery of the town of Nipton. Her ability to survive was based solely upon staying quiet and being quick to attack if cornered. Though she lived off of various plants and small slow moving animals for the past several weeks, hunger drove her to seek refuge with the folks of Nipton. The matter of finding a safe place among so much chaos and confusion was a matter of luck and natural instinct. She hasn't much knowledge of past events in the world, nor of any of the factions.
Her real life begins now.

Gender: male Race: Caucasian, Born in vault 3 by a fiend called Crash and junkie prosttute named Elizabeth.

Appearance: John's build is a pretty muscular. He has bags under his eyes from sleep deprivation, dark brown hair a little past his shoulders and both ring fingers gone.

Clothing/Armor: John wears a black duster, unzipped to show his chest and abs. Also wears dusty jeans and is barefoot.

Weapons: Great with his Anti-Material rifle and 44. magnum.

Occupation: previously a fiend, raider, body guard, and now a [censored] Up

Skills: Too many skills to count but mostly in drugs(stimpaks, buffout, fixer) and he is one of the best cooks in the Mojave, and a very good shot.

Personality/Mental Bio: not a people person and works hard for alcohol and caps. currently an addict.

Bio: Born in vault 3. His mother and him(age 4) were kicked out when his mom cheated on the fiend leader.(age 12)His mother committed suicide. Two months later he took a few dose of buffout from the loss. Two. Three. Five. Twelve. For five years he was an addict an is so high he is lucky to know his name.

Anti-material rifle background: During that time he met a girl named Kara. She was a daughter of a gun runner named Alexander. John had won a bet at The Thorn and was on his way to buy as much fixer he can and take all of it at once. Overdose. He took a shortcut threw west side and on his way there was a man waving a 10mm around like he's going to shoot the place up. John ended up stabbing him in the neck with a broken vodka bottle. his stomach started to turn, he moved away from the body and released all of the alcohol from his body. John walked past all the staring eyes. near the door the the ruins of old Vegas. He collapsed to the ground and woke up in a hole. six inches down. A old black man tossed a shovel full of dirt in his face.

After john climbed out of the hole a crowd of people were gathered in front of him. Most of them looked terrified others confused. One girl stood out to him. her name was Kara. For nearly a 2 year John lived with her and her father. He was taken to old Mormon fort for detox and Lived health with, a family he never had. Kara was the one... until one day a Fiend named motor runner (Fallout: New Vegas/ spared by the Courier in a great khan quest) [censored], murdered and sawed apart with motor runner's chainsaw. He was also the man that killed his father. In such a rage he took the fathers Anti-material rifle and took out his right leg. John proceeded to use the saw to shove the saw in motor runners stomach and left it there for him to suffer. He took the Anti-material rifle and ran to the fiend hide out to find bodies. All dead. none in the vault. None in the surrounding area. Nothing. Kara was gone. He left west side with the anti-material rifle, and drowned himself in alcohol and drugs. He never stopped walking or thinking. Thinking of her. Kara. The one that got away.

Backstory: Peter was born in a farm near the Boneyard to a moderately wealthy family. At the age of 16 he eloped with a girl named Mary. In need of money to support her and his soon to be family, he joined the NCR army. For two years he did not see his wife or daughters, and was not granted vacation time. To his delight, he was wounded during the Second Battle of Hoover Dam and was discharged soon after. Disenfranchised with the NCR, he packed his bags and went East, not knowing where his road might take him.

After staying in Nipton for some time, he was captured by Caesar's Legion soldiers while on a trip with his family near the Mojave River. As he sat in his pen, he killed a guard and managed to escape. He was quickly re-captured but the local Centurion was impressed with his bravery and freed him and his family. Peter was made a civilian "merchant" in the Caesar's Legion. He didn't like it, but it paid well, very well, and now Peter is very wealthy. His sense of compassion is now all but gone after his times watching slaves get killed and beaten. Mary and his daughters are some the only people he can be nice with now.

His travels now take him back to his old home of Nipton.

These are our laws as they currently stand as of this moment (They can be changed by the council. The drafting of these laws is credited to a weird older man sitting at the corner of the bar while they discussed various issues. He then hammered them to the front door of town hall, never to be heard again, until he will be once needed again ):

We the new citizens of Nipton, in a time of need, have come together to write down these here our laws. Nipton desolate and set apart from the world, owes allegiance to no one. Nipton is sacred neutral ground upon which, who you owe allegiance does not matter. Our citizens have left their lives behind and begun a new. The forge of friendship and strength is what will make us prosper.


Nipton Bill of Rights;
This government has been created to protect the governed, not the governing. In order to provide the public with full and accurate information, to promote efficient administration management, to make government more accountable, and to insure to persons fair and equitable treatment, the following rights are guaranteed:

(1)Convenient Access: Every person has the right to transact Town business with a minimum of personal inconvenience. It shall be the duty of the Mayor (1), the town council (4) and the town manager (1) to provide, within budget limitations, reasonably convenient access to public utilities, place for registration and voting, and for transacting business within the town

(2) Truth in Government: No town official shall knowingly furnish false information on any public mater, nor knowingly omit significant facts when giving requested information to a citizen of our town.

(3) Right to be Heard: As long as orderly conduct of public business may be maintained, any citizen has the right to appear before the town council to voice his concerns regarding any public matter involving the town. The Council shall schedule a convenient time for any citizen to be heard, and shall adopt and agenda procedure and schedule hearings in a manner that will enhance the opportunity for public participation.

(4) Right to order: The council shall elect a sheriff at the recommendation of the Mayor. Such sheriff, will be tasked with keeping law and order in our town and shall be entitled to a number of deputies that will be determined by budgetary constraints. The Council with the recommendation of both the Mayor and Sheriff shall determine a holding area to keep those that break the laws.

(5) Right to fair process: It shall be the duty of the Sheriff and deputies to keep the peace and to arrest, when deemed necessary, anyone that breaks the law. Such person shall be sent to the holding area and will appear before the Council to be prosecuted. A council will determine the fate of the unlawful citizen and will set upon judgment that fits the crime. In order to ensure fair trial, one council member will serve as prosecutor and one will serve as defendant. The remaining two plus the mayor shall act as judge and jury.

(6) Right to governance: The Mayor will appoint a town manager whose position will require approval by the Council. The town Manager shall direct the finances of the town, maintaining a yearly budget. It shall be the duty of the Town Manager to act as Mayor anytime the Mayor is away from the town.

Rules:
1. No being OP or God modding
2. Got a question, ask in OOC thread
3. If you want to point out something in your post (example, your character has a bloodstain on them) but feel you can’t fit it into the post naturally then but it in brackets, example (OOC: My character has a bloodstain on them)
4. Edits may be made to your character sheet regarding backstory, but not to skills or equipment (unless they have been learned/found in the course of the RP)
5. No character controlling (unless you have permission from person's character you are controlling)
6. Six lines minimum for each post.

Other notes:
Various events will happen that characters will have no control over but will affect the town. The nature and effect of the event will be given via the reports of Mr. New Vegas, who the GMs will control in regard to major events.

Sam Jenkins - Captain's Club

Sam sat at the table looking at the paper with the numbers. She was still thinking over the offer, part of her wanted to say no, it really did Yet another side of her told her to take the money, to take up his offer leave Nipton and be rich.

As she sat there Steve showed up along with Becky and Rachel. They walked over to her and Becky sat next to Sam and Steve sat across from her. Steve requested a high chair for Rachel. Sam still had the paper in her hand just staring at it forgetting of those around her.

Becky asked what the paper was and grabbed it from her hand. Sam tried to take it back but she had given it to Steve to look at. "Becky I front appreciate you grabbing my things without my permission. Give it back Steve, right now."

Steve looked at it and recognized it as a check and that it was from Ace. He asked what it was all about and why was he offering her this much money. Sam rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. She wasn't sure if she should tell him.

She sighed, the waitress returned to the table with Sam's order of pancakes and coffee. She took a sip and bite of pancakes and looked at Steve, "Ace...he offered me 150k caps if I left Nipton. 75k caps now and 75k once I reach his family bank at the Hub...I mean I can't accept it, cause he wants me far gone from Reggie but its a ton of money."
