Dead thrall storage?

Post » Fri Jul 05, 2013 11:17 pm

Is there a safe place in Skyrim to store dead thralls? I'm talking about a place where I could stash a few dead bodies, and not have them disappear after however long it takes for a dead body to disappear. Is this possible? I found a couple of good thralls (Master Cultist & Pirate Captain), and I want to keep them around, w/o having to keep them traveling with me at all times.

Kill them and store them some place in your house.

If I were to do that, and I left the house for, say, 4 months of in-game time, would the bodies still be there when I returned?

That depends on the body. Ideally, you should be returning to the house often. I came imagine being away for 4 ingame months.

Some Thralls have been known to respawn and attack the residents (Housecarl) where they have been stored.

Spoiler
I prefer the Abandoned House in Markarth as a Thrall Storage, because it is free. Ther are no Moral downsides to using it for a Player willing to reanimate the Dead

This sounds like some necrophiliac related junk. As for body's despawning, I'm not sure it's even possible. I killed a DB Cultist, I don't know, 4 months ago? (Real-Life Time) Anyway, I killed a DB Cultist in Whiterun and her body is still under the bridge by the front gate. I've got in over 2,000+ Hours after that incident.

Am I the only one who read the title in Quentin Tarantino's voice from Pulp Fiction?

"Did you notice a sign out in front of my house that said "Dead Thrall Storage"?"

I doubt I'd ever be away that long... just wasn't sure if there was a place to put a dead body where it would stay indefinitely, without having to re-visit the cell.

I'll try that out.

I don't need you to tell me how [censored] good my coffee is, okay? I'm the one who buys it. I know how good it is. When Bonnie goes shopping, she buys [censored]. I buy the gourmet expensive stuff, because when I drink it I want to taste it. But you know what's on my mind right now? It AIN'T the coffee in my kitchen, it's the dead thrall in my garage.

You could always just put 'em in a coffin in your house or store them in your own personal morgue . Or if you're a Vampire, before you kill them, turn them into living thralls that will obey your every command and blindly worship you.
