Why we hate 'Fallout 4 Speculation Suggestions'.

Post » Sat Jul 06, 2013 5:24 am

Please note that I am not trying to start a feud, argument or any immature things like that. there is simply no time on the forums for all of that nonsense. To my fellow moderators I commend you for a job well done and keeping these beloved forums clean from garbage and inappropriate content. However, most people, including myself, just do not like the "fallout 4 speculation suggestion" thread. I can sit here and think of countless reasons why we don't need one but I wont, I will try to make this as simple and sweet as possible.

Now my dear moderator, please Do not lock this poll/topic. it is not intended to cause any trouble, it is a simple democratic way of suggesting a better way to conduct the discussion of Fallout 4. with that said I really do appreciate you taking your time out of your day to see this whole topic through and I will try to make it as short as possible. again I don't mean to sound repetitive but before I can even began to discuss what im about to say I first want to make my intentions clear and well understood. Please make a responcible and well chosen decision because after all, this is in fact a poll.

Now I don't intend on making any dramatic program decision, as if I could. I simply just want to create a poll that will help deveal weather or not us, the users of the forums, actually want this "Fallout 4 speculation suggestion". hopefully there will be some clarity after all this.

First off lets go over the PROS and CONS of having the "Fallout 4 speculation suggestion" thread.

Pros Cons

*keeps from having a clutter on the series and discussion forum *new members of the forums aren't aware of the thread itself

*keeps everything rather filtered and categorized *new members spend a decent amount of time putting their heart into their topic and the topic

is quickly locked immediately by the moderators even though the user had no knowledge pryor

*moderators prefer it and their opinion matters. *rather confusing when we should simply just be able to post our ideas on the forum

*good ideas don't get the attention they deserve

*its more simple just to post on the series front forum page

*members hate cycling through the hundreds of comments and pages just to see what others think

of the their own ideas

*users like myself hate the "Fallout 4 speculation suggestion" thread because

its unnecessary and just an extra step in the miles we have already spent getting

to the forums itself.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyways I conclude that you make your decision wisely and hopefully through this post we can gain topic posting freedom as to where we want them. I apologize for the bias-ness of my topic but there simply MUST be a change. please vote for your right to post your topic wherever you want. Some of you don't actually care but to some of us this is a decent matter at hand as there are constant topics being locked because they weren't in some *three dog voice* hoity toiety fallout 4 speculation thread. Without further ado, LET THE VOTING BEGIN.

I don't understand your point. The Fallout 4 suggestions thread is on the Fallout Series sub-forum. So what's the problem? It won't appear as a new, separate forum if that's what you're after, because that's pointless when we already have this thread here. Also, it's kind of ironic that you are passing points on "new" members when you are a new member yourself. If the rest of the community has put up with it to this point, I think it should stay. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I clicked on "step" to see if you had an informational step by step guide on how to navigate the forums, turned out to be a virus scam. thanks A*******.

The Moderator team does want the FO4 Thread as it is for now.

If you have a suggestion or idea on how we can better manage the many threads that get started, send one of us a PM and we will discuss it.
Thanks.
