Hi,

I am really not able to understand whats wrong? Is it my graphics card or the Crysis 3 game itself is the problem?

My PC config is given below:

CPU = Intel 2.67 Ghz
MEM = Corsair 12GB (1600 FSB)
HDD + SSD = 400 GB
Motherboard = Gigabyte UD3R
Graphics Card = AMD Radeon 6970 with latest 13.1 driver installed.

It is crashing every now & then and I am really frustrated that I can't play my favourite game. Crysis 2 is working fine though.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem. All the time Freezes and crashes. And right now i lost 7 Ranks in Multyplayer after a freez. Realy cool, im so **** pissed off.....

So far this game has been unplayable for me. I have 2 hours logged yet I’ve got ten hours dealing with crashes, and falling through floors I give up. It’ll crash at startup approximately 20+ times and then all of a sudden decide to load. After about 10 minutes of play it locks my PC up and I’m back at square one. I just purchased Dead Space 3 last week and it played fine I’ve also got about 80+ games in my steam library and they all play fine too. My PC is more than adequate and all drivers are up to date.

My Specs:

I7 2600k
8 gigs of memory
HD5970 + HD5870 (Trifire) with 13.1 drivers.

Is there a fix for this? If not does anyone know how to go about getting a refund? I shouldn’t have to pay for something this badly broken.


Apparently we’re not the only ones experiencing this issue. I’m not very confident that we’re going to get a response from the people in the know on the EA forums since many with our same problem are being ignored. So far they seem to be completely avoiding this issue.

Right I had this same problem with Crysis 2 for quite awhile, would just randomly crash. I used a beta driver for my GPU and that solved my problem. The performance wasn't as consistent, but it was stable. The latest full versions though work fine for me now.

I just looked and AMD has 13.2 beta drivers I'll give that a shot.

Having the same issue here. I've only played about 3 hours due to this issue and cant be bothered to play anymore until this is resolved somehow. The game is just broken. The most frustrating thing is, when it is running (i think an hour with no issues is my running record so far) it runs brilliantly and its smooth and there are decent frames. It just freezes up at the most bizarre moments sometimes for me, when there is literally nothing going on in the game that might be stressing my system. Its happened a few times when i hack turrets etc, and also when i hit checkpoints. Im using the 13.2 beta drivers also and this makes no difference for me

I have a similar problem. Every now and then the game just freezes in multiplayer mode, usually after one round is finished and the game highlights are shown. Had that yesterday twice and today already once. I have Radeon 7850 OC, Athlon II X2, Catalyst Beta 6. The beta ran very stable, the final game does not (((

I was getting this error exactly then I have downgraded to 12.10 and the error disappeared but still the games crashes i.e. no video but hear music & sound in the background . It is crashing less frequently with v 12.10 than v 13.1
