Can't think of a better time to retire this one

Post » Wed Jul 10, 2013 3:50 am

After 178 hours with this character I think it's time for retirement. Never seen the quest log like this before: http://s1294.photobucket.com/user/EdALRiverS/media/20130709_061340_zpsa43b1fe9.jpg.html?sort=3&o=1

I had a lot of fun with this character that I made because of the many destruction threads and ended with the conclusion that destruction overpowered and really fun to play. This is my second mage and it's really a really fun class to play.

Edit: His name was Edarhek and he was a dunmer. I'll miss him.

R.I.P. that guy.

I never had the feeling to retire my own characters though...dunno, there always a new storyline to add to their roleplay, I guess. That's how I feel.

The character was a mage trained in Solstheim by Master Neloth and then went on to serve Mora. So the style was a mix of ash spells, summoning seekers, ash spawn and guardians with lightning as the main offensive weapon. And spiders. Can't forget the spiders. Those are awesome. Throw 4 at a time, it was great. :)

He's not dead. He is retired. If I don't delete him, I may get an urge to load the save whenever I feel like playing a mage and that would distract me from the next character. My new character needs my full attention. Besides if I go back and fourth between characters, the game would get repetitive and I would get bored. When the time comes to make a new mage, I'll have to make a new one, with a different style. My first mage was a khajiit fire mage scholar with J'zargo and Arni as his companions. Way different than this one. I wish I didn't delete him, he was awesome. But it's for the best. There are new characters to be played. :)

The spiders are awesome(and adorable!!!). Regrettably, I have not used them as often as I'd like. I keep forgetting I have them in my inventory, lol.

I like having the glowing ones following me around for light. Cute little buggers they are.

Lol, I had seen one of your pics with the Lurkers and I went nuts. "Holy [censored], I can summon a Lurker?!, then went looking for a tome and never found it. Then I found out they don't exist. Too bad I never got conjuration to 100, 2 seekers following me would have been nice.

Yeah, ever since the trailers I was hoping to summon them. Unfortunate that I had to resort to mods. I sort of understand why(a single Lurker Vindicator ROFLstomps all boss enemies including Frost Giants, and even groups of Draugr Deathlords, while absorbing Master warlock spells like a sponge) but they could have just made him a once a day power or something. Or just make him expensive with the long thrall-ritual cast to balance it. Meh. The Low-level Lurker or Lurker Guardian would have been balanced for a normal summon spell regardless.

I tend to summon only one in scenarios where I'm out-numbered big-time. Never two of them, or else it gets ridiculous. My main-to summons are Seekers for range and Dremora Lords/Wrathmen for melee. I also spawn Ash Guardians every once in awhile.

I... also keep one as a pet...

I named him Tiny for his gentle forbidden heart of murkiness.
