Daedroths and Clannfear are overpowering me.

My character has Novice proficiency in all the ranged skills, and Clannfear and Daedroths are eating me alive in melee combat. Any advice?

They're weak to Shock. Try not to use melee weapons on Clannfears, because they Reflect Damage.

Neither of these foes can heal themselves. Make sure and get a good poison into them on the first hit.

Yes, indeed, and preferably from a distance. :)

Get the best bow you can find, enchanted with Shock if possible, and put poison on it before the first shot.

There's a great bow available in one of the Oblivion Worlds, but it's pretty hard to find and means jumping over (or running through) lava to get to it. It's called Hatreds Soul, and it's enchanted with Drain Speed and Fire. It works really well on these beasts, because it slows them way down. Often, if you put a decent poison on a shot from this bow, it will kill them before they get to you.

You don't need that, though. A bow enchanted with a Shock sigil stone, along with poison, should do it.

Good advice already. You can also buff with a shock shield spell/potion/enchantment in case they do get a hit in. Every little bit helps. If my character has to take on these guys in melee combat, he'll usually chug a custom Restore Health+Fatigue+Shield potion that can usually make up any damage they inflict or reflect back.

And make sure you have enough repair hammers to mend your armor after :P
