Door under Windhelm : V

I was exploring the land and I saw Windhelm so I decided instead of using the door I'd jump over and see what Windhelm looks like from the outside. I got over the wall and ran to the main entrance and saw a wooden door under the main entrance. I tried to hold the activate button on Lydia to activate follower commands and use the door but she was too far away and cant get to me.

Would a PC user be able to check the door out.
