Right - no doubt I'm going to get some stick for asking this - but how do you know how many ppl are online at any time? I read posts of ppl saying "I saw only 300 online when I joined" - or something like that. Am I being monumentally dim? Is there some way to tell how many are online?

Yep, or you could go to the crysis3stats website and look online. I do that sometimes to see if there are plenty of people playing before I start playing mp.
