vampire build and lady stone question

Post » Sat Jul 13, 2013 7:31 am

I am making a pure vampire, what is the best stats to hit for that?

Also will the lady stone off set the day time damage a vampire takes of not regening?

I used a brenton for the race, that seemed to fit the best.

1. Statwise, magic for mages and assassins, health for a warrior. Also invest in Necromage.

2. Yes, the Lady Stone will help to offset the lack of regen, but not much. There are better stones to go for IMO.

3. If you go the necromage route, investing in magic, enchants, and alchemy may be worthwhile. It also allows for a strong shout-based character.

I usually rock The Lord (you take less damage from physical and magical attacks) because it boosts my fire deffense, and if you have the Aetherium Crown (spelling?) you can put some other good stone power, maybe The Ritual, or The Steed (so when you get over encumbered, you put that on and you get 100 more pounds to carry).

Definately the Lord stone for the damage resistance. If you play as a mage, invest in conjuration. Raising the dead to fight for you is very vamp-like. Then if your conjuration level gets high enough you can raise master vampires, along with the ritual stone you can have an entire undead army fighting for you .

Ok thanks. Any tips on what to do during hte day or should I try doing most of my quests at night?

As my vampire I am thinking of doing the dark brotherhood , theives an mages guild stuff. Do dragons come out at night? I guess I am going to be spamming a lot of potions lol

If you can handle fighting during the day, then go for it. Otherwie you're best to wait at night. And yes dragons can attack at night

Well, for day time it depends. Do you have Dawnguard? If so, I strongly advise you to play up to a point where you get Auriel's Bow... If you don't know what it does, I won't spoil it to you, but get it!

If you don't have Dawnguard, I would say: Use enchantments! It's fit for a Breton, and even more for a Vampire! You can lower the cost of the schools of magic you like the most, and have regeneration enchantments on your gear. Also, note that some Shouts are formidable for Vampires, like Become Ethereal (my personal favourite Shout) because you take no Sun Weakness while ethereal, so you can run infinitely while you use it, and Drain Vitality, so you can get some Health/Stamina/Magicka from enemies if you have the 3 words of power. Alchemy is god for Magicka potions too!

I can't bother to simply wait for night time every time I wanna go out, so I use those things so I can have a "normal" journey to wherever place I want to go. Of course, if you really want to role-play, then you should avoid day light at all costs.

Yes, Dragons do come out to play with you at night, so you won't get rid of those beasties that easily =P

I just bought the legendary edition, so I am starting over. So I do have all the expansions. Where do I get Auriel's Bow? Should I get that before starting the vampire expansion?

Oh, cool! Well, you get Auriel's Bow during Dawnguard's Main Quest, so you will already be a vampire for the most part. After you get it, it will be a walk in the park to walk in daylight, but you get it near the end of the MQ. So, I would still use those tactics I told you (enchantments are really, really helpful, shouts and alchemy too) so you can get through the game without much hassle, at least until you get the bow. Your main concern is your magicka (if you are a mage) so with enchanting you can negate this and you can be a vampire with almost no downside.
