Take away the technology, and all that would be left is the basic human tendency for lust, greed, envy and hatred. All of which are easy to overcome.

Here, they screen out undesirables through the use of 'co-owners'. The shelters will only be built once there is enough people in them. Meaning you could pay $50,000 for something that will never get built.

What's really idiotic is that they only last for a year. If there was a nuclear war or 'killer comet' you're going to want to stay underground a lot longer than that.

I don't think you can really say it's useless until you know what it does. That's just a concept image, all it really tells you is what it'll look like, the features are just guesswork I should think.
