Is there a way to get this spell without joining the College? I'm level 60 now and my Restoration is also at 60. I got the adept perk but so far it's useless as I don't have the spell. Fast Healing just isn't doing enough anymore since I have 600+ Health.

600 health is a lot.

I would think the court mages would sell it as well. Couldnt you just go to the college and buy it from collette without joining?

None of them do, I was hoping Farengar or the Riften CM would, but they don't.

AFAIK, only way to get inside is to join the CoW. I'd rather not do that with this character and have a quest in my log.

You might be able to find a tome for it in Apocrypha.

That's convenient! Apocrypha can be insanely useful when it comes to tomes, BTW. I've found master spells a few times, IIRC.

OP, you know you can gain access to the college through the secret midden entrance?

Oh really? Is there a video of such a feat? I heard it was possible, but the only thing I could think of was the "exit" to Skyrim from the Midden. That ledge, from what I have tried can not be climbed.

Now that I think of it, I think the mages from the college only sell spell tomes to college members. But I remember before after you first interact with Feralda on the bridge to the entrance, she tells you to go talk to Mirribelle. I walked right past her and proceded to Drevis to purchase some Illusion spells. I wasn't officially a member yet.

Alright, I've seen did the quest for Alessandra and got a whole bunch of high level Restoration spells which included Close Wounds and Circle of Protection (I use this one to level up Restoration).

Forgot she even existed.
