I was sitting at home watching the old classic "Dirty Dozen", when I realized how kickass it would be to make an rp about 12 mercenaries who roam across the U.S, trying to survive. I'm not sure if there's any other rp like it on this forum, but I'd like to give it a go. It'd start somewhere on the east coast, since we're already quite clear on what happened in Virginia, Maryland, Pittsburgh and DC. We'd probably go from there through West Virginia(more scrappers and trackers), to Tennesse, then through whatever state we want to go through next. It'd definitely be a long-term rp. But definitely potentially a good one.

So, any ideas?

Never seen that movie, but the idea sounds cool. This sounds kinda free form, and I heard those don't last :shrug:

We'd have a goal. To reach the west coast in hopes of finding an extremely outrageous rumor of some sort that would better their lives. It'd probably end up being in Cali or Oregon or something like that.

So, someone PM'ed me with an idea. the Dirty Dozen will be heading towards the West Coast in an attempt to find a large mercenary sec that's rumored to have the most authority and control and given the most contracts. Along the way our mercenaries will run into rivals of this famed mercenary group, and will try to kill them. In hopes of earning some fame to impress the large mercenary group.
Any other ideas?

I'm interested in joining this, I trust you'll be able to come up with a back story. But if you do make this as an Rp count me in!

Dirty Dozen is a good movie, but I'm not really sure how well it would be as an Rp? Especially as a Mercenary group. Maybe if you concentrated them in like the BOS or Enclave, it would make better sense. But Mercenaries just doesn't seem to fit in my opinion. The team could be just a ragtag group of BOS or Enclave soldiers, sent to do a crazy mission or something like that? I don't know, it's up to you.

I may join if you can pull together a more concrete plot.

Eh. That's over-rated. There are already some Rp's out with Enclave or BoS members. I'd like to rp a bunch of ruffian type mercenaries, with a Battlefield: Bad Company attitude, and let the story unfold as we go along. There are too many possibilities to pre-plan it.

Hey, it's up to you. I'm not trying to tell or force you to do what I said by any means. Just some suggestions I thought I'd give out. You have a good idea, and more detail would be better in the story, but I thought that Enclave or BOS would work better in this case. But hey, it's your Rp not mine. :tops:

I dont dig the whole Enclave or BOS thing. It makes you constricted to all have at least one similar trait.

This RP is going to be sweet because of the huge amount of potential it has!

Maybe instead of ruffian mercanaries make them a little more high-tech as a more kind of well-fit group? I've been playing F.E.A.R this morning and well... Hehe.

Oh my god dude! Are you playing F.E.A.R 2? I got that in AIT and it was awesome! I still haven't beat it. But I like the idea of a bit more advanced mercenary group. How bout as the story goes along our group finds better equipment?
