I like to take screenshots alot. But the routine of going console, TM, Prt Scrn, console TM, gets old.

Ive tried looking for a mod to automate that process but been unsuccessful. Yet it seems like something we should have by now? Ideally, I'd want one where we can save directly to size-conscious PNGs rather than BMPs, too.

Just curious, did I miss anything like that? Or is it just not technically feasible?

You can try IHUD to turn off the HUD elements with a key press http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3222/? and then use prt scrn or F12 (steam) to take screenshots
but i dont know about the mod that disable the HUD and take screenshots on its own

You want a mod to do something it takes 4 seconds tops to do?

Well, perhaps I'm lazy, but I find a similar mod for Oblivion, http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/12556/?, very useful and have it in all my installs. Convenience should never be underestimated.

If you want to have all in-game taken pictures in PNG then use Wrye Bash to convert BMP to PNG or if you prefer you can also convert any in-game taken pictures in Skyrim to JPG which has the smallest file size.

I use mods that do far less - its not about saving time, its about convenience.

Ultimately, such a mod would absolutely be worth one of my precious 254 slots as far as I'm concerned.

There is one, it is called "Screenshot Assist". I can not give a link now because it looks Nexus is yet again undergoing a DDos attack. But personally i only tried it for a while and then got into a problem with that mod, a problem that in the end forced me to delete all savegames and restart my character. ( Because really weird things started to happen that made the game very difficult to play. )
