Downsampling Morrowind

Hi!

Have anyone tried (or planning to try) how downsampling works with Morrowind? It would probably look stunning with the MGE mod and some other gfx tweaks.

The premises: "downsampling" is a technique to force 3D apps to be rendered on a super high resolution then scaled back to fit your monitor's native resolution. Therefore render more and finer details which is compressed in a smaller window frame.

Naturally, effects may vary depending how the game works.

I would try the method myself, but unfortunately I cannot have the assets at hand for a while to properly test this.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=509076 which from you can learn more about downsampling, and see some screenshots about how effective it is.

If anyone is willing and ready to post some amazing screenshots from Morrowind, that would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Never heard of this before, it sounds like it'll be fun to try when I replace my failing laptop with a desktop PC.
