Any Suggestions to make my game more stable?

Post » Fri Jul 19, 2013 9:42 am

Hello everyone.
I've finished the main quest in the dragonborn DLC for the first time, but this savgame was the most unstable one in all of my skyrim history. im talking about sttuters, CTD's and so on...
So sadly i need to start a new game, but I dont want to experience the same annoying stuff again.
so here is my load order. please tell me what I can do to improve performance.

I'd start with following BOSS's suggestion to clean BFT Ships and Carriages - HF.esp.

did you change your Ini files?

what are your system specs, and which texture mods did you install?

do you monitor your FPS? do you use a FPS limiter?

what kind of stutter are we talking about? Texture loading stutter? Microstutter? low frame rate stutter?

depending on your rigs power, those things could decide what to do (reduce texture resolution, limit fps, get rid of script heavy mods)

but it all depends on the rig and the other settings and textures.

also: how old is the save file you use? when did you start playing this character?

many issues that will haunt an old character will already be fixed by official and unofficial updates by now, and simply won't trouble you any more.

no ini file changes.

specs: http://ufu.co.il/files/xahqrtq818pt0uyjhyez.png

here is my NMM so you could see texture mods: http://ufu.co.il/files/okrr3vlxr2mk2qbznqp1.png

Frame rate stuttre, mini stutters, mega sttuters (not all the time, sometimes).

save file is something between week-one week old.

I am assuming "frame rate stutter" is referring to massive swing of FPS when moving to one location (e.g., cell) to another. Usually this is indicative of I/O issues. How much main RAM and video RAM you got? Have you tried using "Skyrim Performance Monitor" to track your RAM usage?

As for CTD, I too started a new game (for CWO). In addition to the basic (BOSS, TES5Edit), my suggestion is to add mods (at most) 5 at a time. Play the game for at least a day to see if the game is stable. If it is, add another batch of mods. Play, rinse and repeat.

Hope it helps.

EDIT: Just noticed you have a 560 Ti. I do not believe you have enough video RAM for your setup.
