Weird Motherboard Beeps

Morrowind is causing weird motherboard beeps. But not exactly morrowind. When I try to set data files or change options with the Launcher, it makes a loud motherboard beep any time I click on a space that has nothing in it. This happens with Skyrim too, but not Oblivion.

Just so its clear: Doing stuff in the launcher without the game active is the ONLY time I hear the motherboard beeps. Only in that exact circumstance. The games play fine, cause no problems. I can't figure out why it beeps in these ultra-specific circumstances.

It could just be a setting in your Control Panel that needs to be re-set. I had a similar problem with my CS once.

Control Panel->Sounds-> Manage audio Devices->sounds

Scroll down and find "Select." Make it sure it's using a (None) sound.

Note: It may not be "Select" for you, but that's the most common one that this happens with.
You can check other ones too, and if they have a sound attached to them when it seems that they shouldn't, make them (None) too.
