I've read that items such as the Talisman of Abetment are levelled to your level when the DLC/plugin was installed. Is it possible to work around this by deleting the DLC, playing for a while, then re-loading it when reaching level 30+?

The DLC I'm talking about is Shivering Isles. If applicable, can I do the same with Knights Of The Nine?

This is true, sadly. Because you started your game with Shivering Isles installed this item will forever be the level 1-4 version.

I know absolutely zero about consoles so forgive me if this is a stupid question, but is it possible to reinstall the game on XBox without Shivering Isles? I know this is possible on PC. If you can do this, I think it is your only way around Oblivion's broken scaled item system.

Yes, the KOTN and SI are on a separate disc like the PC version.
