Skyrim. I love the atmosphere, the culture, and the general feeling. I love the world design and how intricately detailed the world is. I love the NPCs, and how almost every one of them has something unique to say. I love the perks and skills, and how they allow me to define my character like never before. And I love the stories I can tell in the game with each new character.

I adore each of the three TES games I've played, but Skyrim stands out as my favourite.

I like Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim just about equally, for different reasons.

I like Morrowind for its depiction of a rich culture, its political intrigue, diverse architecture, intriguing and mysterious main quest and its gorgeous music. It has a feel, an atmosphere, that I have always liked.

I like Oblivion for its beautiful landscape, its game mechanics, its music (again), and for several interesting side quests.

I like Skyrim for its classless character development, perk system, its rugged and varied landscapes, the personality of its NPCs, its guild quests (though they were mostly too short), the introduction of Smithing, the elimination of degradation, in-game crafting (as opposed to using a menu), and many little non-combat roleplaying touches such as playing tag with children and chopping wood for coin...and as always, the music.

Two favorites, for different reasons.

As a game, I prefer Morrowind. Here I'm referring to the actual game content, the intended quest-lines, etc. I play Morrowind if I want to play through quest lines, deal with the consequences of actions, etc.

As a moddable open world for roleplaying, I prefer Oblivion. The very characteristic that makes some people call it "generic" is what makes it a great stage on which to act out your own stories.
