Poisons. Smithing. Enchanting. Fortify Archery potions. Every little bit helps.

Archery is broken weak compared to 1H, 2H and spells. It needs a lot of help from enchanting, smithing (and sneaking, if you were not a thief). On its own Archery svcks, specially at low and mid levels. Good luck with frontal assaults, where you can't sneak......you'll need lots of it.

It looks like you've got access to the DB sanctuary. In that case, you should learn the Marked for Death shout. This shout is a huge help against strong enemies. The damage over time is pretty minimal, but what makes the shout powerful is its armor reduction effect. This makes your hits do a lot more damage.

First off, get yourself a Forsworn bow. They can be made very powerful at low levels with just the steel smithing perk. Remember to block and power bash with your bow, don't forget to perk these skills. While sneaking you should not have any problems at all.

But no way to improve it unless level 60 smithing with the arcane perk.
