Does anyone agree with me that Elven armor should be revamped? It's the worst looking armor mainly because of that HUGE waist that the armor has. It's bulky and it seems like you got a$$ [censored] the night before.

I like the upper part but the rest is so damn ugly.

It's ugly, but at least the helmet is a slight improvement from Oblivion's model.

Generally, armour looks fine on females, passable if not hideous on males.

I find Elven a bit bulky, the neck particularly so, and the huge gauntlets... but, it's alright. There are much, much worse aesthetics in this game. I want to say that something simpler and more inspired by 'traditional' fantasy would be good, but then the Elder Scrolls has its own style and that is important. If it were even made 'thinner' and less bulbous I think it would be the best looking armour, but it makes characters looks so strangely squat and rounded.

Elven weapons look fantastic, so, I'm not all down on the Elven style.

The armor only look good on elves to me, specially the females.

I totally agree with you about the thinner part. It could be so much better. Especially the waist, when you run you look really [censored], even on females.

I need a retexture mod to make Elven (and Glass) armor worthwhile.

The gloves and boots are nice. The helmet makes your head look like an onion and the body is too bulky, it doesn't look light light armor.

yeah its the same for the thalmor stuff. The boots are big for clothing and the gloves are cool but they dont work for me with certain with expert robes and up, because expert robes an up don't add extra bulk like adept robes and down.

At least Bethesda dropped the Duck Foot Elven Boots for Skyrim. Elven needs to have bulk to cover the Purple Undergarments Pompous Altmer are known to favor

The armor is good but the elven strongpoint in design is their weapons.

I think elven armor is ugly as sin. Mostly due to the gigantic hip pad things... makes my skinny dunmer look fat.

Glass is still ugly but at least it doesnt have giganto hips.

I might wear it, if I was playing as an elven character, but aside from that, I wouldn't go with it on appearance alone. I'd more likely go with glass, dragonskin, nightingale, or perhaps stormcloak officer armor, all depending on race/build/rp.
