Pretty much all talk, inquiry, or interaction about Akavir dropped after the Nerevarine was said to have gone there. With the return of the Dragons, you'd think there would be chaos in Akavir, or that it would maybe even rekindle interest in Tamriel for the Akaviri. You'd think they'd need the help of a certain Dragonborn at some point, but we all know that (probably) doesn't happen.
Again, I find it odd that after the Reman era that all Akaviri peoples and history is almost forgotten. Uriel's invasion didn't really produce much more info, and Akavir hasn't retaliated to that in 340 years. So it makes me wonder... is there major turmoil in Akavir? I suppose the defeat after the first invasion, the end of the Potentates, the regional conflicts, the Oblivion Crisis, and now the return of the Dragons have made things a lot harder for the Akaviri, but not even a single trade or exploration ship has gone to or from Akavir, save for the Nerevarine? Why have Tamriel and Akavir lost interest for each other so much?
