another how can you tell if you played fallout nv too much t

Post » Wed Jul 24, 2013 8:10 am

I know there's other threads with this subject but i don't feel like resurrecting any old threads, a few days ago i was playing skyrim while battling a enemy i kept hitting "v" to bring up vats and wondering why it wasn't coming up, I finally remembered i wasn't playing fallout nv (which i have been playing too much of). /rofl.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
What was the weirdest thing you've done in a bethesda game after playing too much fallout??

I can't limit this to a Bethesda game, but after playing Skyrim, FO:3, and then FO:NV, going back to third person was painful. Still can't do it. Was trying to play Gears of War and I hated that I wasn't in first person!

lol yes. I usually play one game a lot then go back to another, and then back again, so this happens a lot. It's mostly the jump button that gets me though... I sit there mashing it like JUMP WTF

Pressing B (which brings up the Pipboy) to pause the game. I guess in general most of my FONV habits in other games extends to the controls, like pressing Y when I want to jump

I guess in real life one effect is my taste in firearms. I used to be fairly neutral about guns. I wanted one or two but in the same way Id want a hammer or a saw: necessity or usefulness and certainly not because theyre "cool".

Now, after almost three years of FONV if I dont get a lever action rifle chambered in 357 soon Im going to lose it

When you play other games that have 'perks' or 'choices' and you scowl at how terrible they are compared to FONV. Games like Dead Island, Bioshock 2, Dragon Age Origins series, and so on. Once you get spoiled by FONV's leveling system, perks, choices, and weaponry, you tend to shy away from other games unless they allow you to customize (aka Mod) them or free-roam.

This even affects totally different genres, including RTS.

Ok, there is that tree trunk I see every day on my way home from work and OMG every time I have to tell myself, NO there are NO goodies hidden in that trunk (based on the HH DLC LOL)

I agree, those games have to be played in 1st person. Now, playing Rift again, it's strange to be in 1st person, that one I have to play in 3rd for some reason LOL

I used to kill my son with grenades all the time when we'd play Halo, because pulling the left trigger did NOT make me aim down the sights. These dam game companies need to make more adjustable control schemes!! /blink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Edit: IDK why, I loathe 3rd person shooters but had to play WoW 3rd person. Maybe it's the Rad poisoning affecting me.

After I began playing Fallout, I really couldn't play any other game for long. Three years after that the term "video games" means Fallout to me. I haven't played any game other than Fallout in a while xD

I look for a first aid kit too often when I use the washroom at work.

This.

New Vegas killed video games for me. It's too good by comparison and makes others feel like a waste of time.

When I jokingly call Coca Cola, Nuka Cola

Red Punch, Nuka Cola Victory

Pineapple Juice, Nuka Cola Quartz

I can't play any of Bethesda's other "rpg" games now for long period of time when I can go back and enjoy New Vegas.

You play it way too much when you wish you had the Powerfist to rip off every-one-you-hate-heads off

As I explained yesterday night in TES forums, I usually do allnighter gaming almost every day and take smoke breaks every 6 hours of gaming, so after smoking I once just stood still and tried to save game New Vegas style. Took me like 10 seconds to snap out of it. Guess I was tired. Epic.

You need to get to a hospital! Your smoking is getting in the way of your gaming!
